Sad experience at this place this evening - expected free prawn crackers (as spent over £25 - the norm in Sheffield). They were a treat for my sister so I asked to buy them and was told cash only. I had £2 cash in my pocket, hot food going cold and was 60p short. Offered them the £2 but was instructed to visit the cash point!!! NO WAY!!! As you can imagine I went to the other Chinese takeaway which will get my business in future!!! Poor show Tin Tin for the sake of 60p !!!!!!!!!!!! Gggrrrr! Poor!
Very friendly lady at front desk. Food quality is good although sometimes portions can be a bit on the smaller side.
EDIT 24/11 - currently a 5% discount if you pay cash on orders over £20.
Very disappointing....tasteless and anaemic looking duck chow mein, with pipes and veins in! Pretty tasteless altogether to be honest. Couldn't even find any egg in egg fried rice. Back to Kingsburgh in Northam I think ????
Great place to get a lovely Chinese meal. Friendly staff, quick service and delicious food. Couldn't ask for more.
Quick service and cheap but the food is basic and sauces were very gelatinous.confused. Hot and sour soup was mostly sour. Sweet and sour chicken was good although the sauce was radioactive looking. Food to fill if hungry but there are better things to eat locally.
Great service, nice people........ that's where the good bit ends. Dropped in for a takeaway today, smelled great, but this in all honesty has to be the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Strange after taste to everything and very greasy spring rolls. Most went in the bin, waste of money and shan't be going back. Picked this because of the good reviews. Well if this is supposed to be the best in Bideford god help the rest of them.
Best Chinese in town. Lovely staff, great food, speedy service.
Typical Chinese takeaway though you wun be disappointed with the portions. Prawn fried rice and chow mein are filled with at least 300 grams of prawns, really good value.

Quick Facts About Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway

Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway has received a variety of comments from customers, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the establishment. Analyzing these comments will provide insight into the overall strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, one common theme mentioned by multiple customers is the friendly staff and quick service. The friendly lady at the front desk and the lovely staff have been praised for their hospitality and efficiency. This creates a positive atmosphere and enhances the overall dining experience for customers. Quick service is particularly important in the fast-paced nature of a takeaway restaurant, where customers typically expect their orders to be prepared and delivered promptly.
Additionally, some customers have praised the food quality at Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway. They mentioned that the food is delicious and that they couldn't ask for more. This suggests that the establishment has a good standard in terms of taste and flavor. Furthermore, one customer mentioned that the sweet and sour chicken was good, which indicates that the establishment is capable of preparing certain dishes well.
Another strength mentioned is the value for money. One customer mentioned that the portions are generous, particularly the prawn fried rice and chow mein, which are filled with at least 300 grams of prawns. This suggests that Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway offers good value for money, as customers feel they are getting a substantial amount of food for their payment.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint from customers is the inconsistency in portion sizes. Some customers mentioned that the portions can be a bit on the smaller side, which may leave customers feeling unsatisfied or wanting more. This inconsistency could negatively impact customer satisfaction and perceived value for money.
Another weakness mentioned is the taste and quality of certain dishes. One customer described the duck chow mein as tasteless and anaemic-looking, while another mentioned that the food had a strange aftertaste and was greasy. These comments suggest that the establishment may have inconsistencies in food preparation, leading to subpar dishes that do not meet customer expectations.
Furthermore, the lack of certain ingredients in dishes, such as not being able to find any egg in egg fried rice, was mentioned by a customer. This indicates a potential lack of attention to detail or quality control in the food preparation process.
Another weakness highlighted by a customer is the refusal to accept £2 in cash for an order that was 60p short. This incident led the customer to go to another Chinese takeaway instead. Refusing such a small amount of money over a minor discrepancy could give the impression of poor customer service and inflexibility.
In conclusion, Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway has several strengths, including friendly staff, quick service, good food quality, and value for money. However, there are also weaknesses that need addressing, such as inconsistencies in portion sizes, taste, and food preparation, as well as potential shortcomings in customer service and attention to detail. By addressing these weaknesses, Tin Tin Chinese Takeaway can improve overall customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
