Lovely little pizzeria, food was fantastic, about £15 per pizza, I had the lamb kebab {pictured drizzled with sauce). Service was excellent, didn't wait long for the food, desserts were yummy (£4 each).

Superb pizza made with top quality ingredients and love! Eat the best thats getting better all the time - perfection in the making. Not just pizza, the seafood starters and steak are phenomenal. 10/10

First Class from start to finish to celebrate my Dad's birthday. The Pizzas were outstanding and a fantastic variety of choice. The new owners have made the Wood Oven so comfortable and even took time at the end of our evening to chat. Looking forward to seeing the changes they plan to make for the coming season. We will definitely be back

Just checked the website and quite surprised the restaurant closes at 9pm on a Saturday evening.

We came from Hexham to meet friends and were quite confused last night when we finished our pizza around 9 (a 7.30pm booking) and the bill was just put straight on the table. No one asked if we wanted desert, or coffee and then everyone was cleaning around us. We thought the place was rude and unfriendly.

Now checking the website, see that it closes at 9pm. Probably wouldn't book again, as for a weekend, this feels very rushed and we felt like we were hoofed out before we'd finished our evening. Strange for what felt like a nice spot for a Saturday evening meal with friends.

I’ve had Pizza in Florence and other places but this beats them all! The Doddington cheese and red onion with ham was astounding. No signs outside for passers by but I guess survives by reputation and word of mouth alone and long may it continue. Do not miss out..seriously if you’re a food lover, go.

The lady (believe it was Cathy) who served our party of 4 plus 2 babies couldn’t do enough for us.

The pizza was full of flavour and surprisingly light. We will be returning!

This is a bit of a hidden gem. Up there with some of best Margherita pizzas I've had anywhere, including Italy. Friendly service too!
