Lovely place with great food. Popped in with a colleague for lunch and we weren't disappointed. The service was great, friendly and fast. I had the blackened chicken burger and it had just the right amount of bite. My colleague had the small breakfast and said that was lovely too. Will definitely be going back.
Was very disappointed when we visited. The 3 of us came for breakfast off a recommendation and we all got the full English. The food was cold and the eggs were still part raw. We raised the problem with the waitress who spoke to the chef and said it was because “he had a baby at home, he’s tired so that’s why the plates weren’t warmed and the food was cold”. Jess was so lovely and friendly it’s a shame the food let it down… it’s definitely not good value for money and I wouldn’t try it again. I also didn’t notice that we had a service charge on the bill of 10% that I would preferred to not have paid because we didn’t enjoy it, I would rather have given the tip to the waitress personally

I'm surprised to see any reviews on here other than 5*. The food is incredible and the service is wonderful.

Absolutely fantastic!, Came here for lunch after it was recommended by a work colleague, did a lovely walk from home in Haslingden, had a fantastic lunch and great stroll back. You can sit indoors or outdoors and being sat outdoors was wonderful, almost felt like being abroad. I has the Steak, red onion and brie ciabatta and the wife had steak and eggs, both were fantastic and almost tastes wood oven cooked ??. Staff were really polite and helpful and it was extremely easy to book a time online before went, was literally two clicks . Will definitely be returning with family and friends and may even let the kids try the pizzas if they are lucky !
Absolutely gorgeous food. We had the steak and eggs and a small breakfast today at mid day. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, just want to say a big well done to josh the chef, the breakfast was perfect too, the plates were warmed, the food was hot and fresh. My latte was lovely with an extra shot and extra hot as requested. The waitress seated us immediately even though we weren't booked in and was so polite and efficient

I've visited a few times before and it's always been nice. I took my family today to try for the first time. Both my sister and mum are very fussy but both loved the food, atmosphere and service. Jess was great. Food was tasty and it was well worth the money ????xx
Had an excellent experience tonight! Jess was a wonderful waitress, she couldn’t do enough for our group of 7 and really did go above and beyond. The food was great, reasonably priced and good portions, and there’s a lovely atmosphere. Would happily recommend The Village Store to anybody, and I will certainly be going back????
An excellent venue! A group of 7 of us dined here this evening and we received wonderful service from Jess and Wiktoria! Extremely speedy and friendly! The staff went above and beyond and were very attentive to detail. The food was delicious and good portion size so thank you!
