Lovely Sunday carvery, lots of veg choice and delicious meats. Great friendly service.

Good all day breakfast. A fair price. Comes with fried bread instead of toast, now this fried bread is the real M'Coy, so if like me, you don't like it ask for toast when ordering instead. The very small and token piece of tomato was just not cooked. Basically raw. Tin tomato would be much better. But a good meal and would buy again. Nice surroundings. A very nice place and a nice waitress.

We could in walking distance go to the Cowshed, Oaken or the Summer House, but without hesitation we always come to the Summer House. We and all our friends just love it. The food is fantastic, the portions are great, the staff very friendly and the lasagne is to die for. We are becoming regulars now as our friends do not want to go anywhere else. Thank you.

Despite being quite had some wait for food ,when arrived items missing after a few minutes went and asked 5 min later was told they didn’t have it. After replying would have been nice to have been told when ordering.

Another 5min later a staff member came out and threw the items on the table and replied we found so out the back.

Should be charging for items you don’t get.

I wasn’t rude to your staff at all just stating a fact also apologiesed to her that I had to ask and that member of staff was still serving other tables next to us , so not sure when she was upset or missing a member of staff.

Good food, well cooked. Lighter lunches were also provided for. Desserts were available but were a little expensive so we decided not to go for them. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Nice place good food unfortunately the mix of eating with friends while having over load conversations by others possibly locals just out for a drink with friends a little bit of consideration of others wouldn't have gone a miss why can't people just talk to each other why does it have to be loud. Yes we enjoyed ourselves but we had to move seats to hear each other left early to go elsewhere to finish the night would think twice about going back ☹️

Lovely friendly pub, friendly & welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble for them. The food was really hot, really tasty & plenty of it. We had cajun chicken,lamb chops & scampi, all meals were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be visiting again 10/10

The food here is great, I eat here at least once a week with my family.

Great food and great staff, can’t complain. I would definitely recommend to all ????????
