Quick Facts About The Pannier Pantry

The Pannier Pantry has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths that stands out is the friendliness of the staff. Multiple comments mention the staff being nice and friendly, as well as being dog-friendly. This creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers and makes them feel comfortable. Additionally, the staff were attentive and chatty, which is appreciated by customers.
Another strength is the atmosphere of the cafe. The comments mention that the place has a relaxed feel and is very relaxing. The building itself is described as "sweet" and the decor is liked. Customers appreciate the ambiance and find it to be a pleasant place to eat and drink.
The variety of food and drinks offered is also mentioned as a positive aspect. The Pannier Pantry serves both warm and cold food and is licensed, which is a plus for customers looking for different options. There are also gluten-free choices available, which is appreciated by those with dietary restrictions.
Reasonably priced food is also seen as a strength. Customers mention that the prices are good and represent value for money, which is important for many people.
However, there are some weaknesses identified in the comments as well. One of the main weaknesses mentioned is the quality of the food. Comments describe the food as dry, plain, tasteless, and not amazing. Specifically, the cheese and onion paste is described as a sludge and the cheeseburger with chips is criticized for lacking flavor and sauce. These comments indicate that the food may not be up to the desired standard.
Another weakness mentioned is the service. While the staff are friendly, comments mention that the service can be slow and fragmented at times. There are instances where the staff seem busy and are trying to find who the orders are for. This can lead to a less efficient and smooth experience for customers.
The lack of background music is also mentioned as a weakness. This may contribute to a less lively and enjoyable atmosphere for some customers.
In conclusion, The Pannier Pantry has strengths in terms of friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, a variety of food and drinks, and reasonable prices. However, there are weaknesses related to the quality of the food, the service, and the lack of background music. These areas could be improved in order to enhance the overall experience for customers.

Best PlaceJuice Reviews

The food was a little dry and plain cheese and onion paste was a sludge nice people hot chocolate amazing
but overall okay not bad ! Service was a little slow ???? but nice view if bideford
I would like to start by saying that the staff were friendly and clearly dog friendly. I am hesitant to continue with the rest of the review but would hope it provides some useful criticism.
The service seemed fragmented at times and the staff were quite busy. A few instances had them looking around trying to find who the orders were for. Reading the other reviews this seems an often encountered problem. Since it is self service I would suggest table numbers.
We asked if we could have some water for our dog and the staff were happy to say yes. In fact they even brought out a complementary dog biscuit for her which is very much appreciated. However, no water was provided.
Unfortunately I found the food to be fairly tasteless. I had cheeseburger with chips. The cheeseburger itself was a standard takeaway style pâté with cheese. It came with no sauce and none was offered. The chips had the typical oven cooked metallic flavour. My suggestion would be to not offer burgers, especially on a waterfront café.
I will, no doubt, try the café again at some point in case I just caught them on a particularly bad day.
Lovely atmosphere for something to eat and drink. Serving warm and cold food, also licenced. Has a relaxed feel and welcomes dogs! Staff were very friendly and food was nice.

Lacks back ground music.
Loved this place, very relaxing I asked for a tea I got a pot with 2 teabags in with a pot of hot water to top up and plenty of milk! Great teacakes. Love the decor suits the old custom house building
Lovely food, reasonably priced, good service.
Great little cafe, good range of quality cakes and friendly service.
A really sweet building from inside and outside. The vegetable pastry was okay but not amazing. The coffee was also just okay. The lady's which are working here are really friendly.
