I thought I found a great stylist, had 3 appointments with her, now all of my appointments are being canceled and it seems as though my phone number has been blocked so I cannot even call to make sure there is no technical glitch. this is petty, unprofessional, and downright rude. my last appointment went awesome, no issues or reason that Amy would act this way towards me. very disappointed, and I definitely no longer recommend her.

(Review from 25 Jun 2021 haircut) Amy was fantaatic: listened intently to the drastic hairstyle change that I sought and absolutely over-delivered. This haircut is probably the best one I have ever received. And it has lasted for three months. She is such a pro -- a true artist with her scissors and other tools. I recommend her in the strongest possible terms.

I loved getting my hair cut here! I have really long hair and was worried that wherever I went they would want to take too much off for just a trim. Plus I decided to get bangs 3 weeks before my own wedding. Amy was super patient with me and asked all the right questions. She trimmed the absolute minimum and I left with perfect bangs just the way I imagined them! I will definitely be coming back!

I liked the website, so I drove by. I liked the look of it, so I made an appointment. I got an excellent haircut, with Amy quizzing me and readjusting the cut to please me. Perfect! As a bonus, I also had a great time. Amy is bright, funny, chatty and a blast to spend time with. My haircut continues to please, but I wish it would grow out faster so I could go back and spend more time with Amy!

Calling the establishment a "Shop" instead of a high-falutin' "Salon" shows how relaxed and friendly the atmosphere really is. Excellent, professional service and a party at the same time, what's not to love?

Amy is very kind and listens to you . She lets you guide her with what you would like for your hair appointment. I appreciated that she sees one client at at a time and cleans between every client. I highly recommend this salon. Amy is a very kind professional that I highly recommend!

Really disappointed! Which I hate because I like most of everything about this place. The quality of the haircut, the location, the price, all fantastic. However today, my appointment randomly got cancelled with no explanation. I tried to call to see what happened and they conveniently weren't taking phone calls. And this was not the first time I'd had a similar situation here. The first time, I booked the appointment at least two weeks in advance because it was for my birthday. Well apparently the stylist I was booked with quit and they failed to check that her future appointments were rescheduled so I was out of luck. I got in the next day but it was a real let down to not be able to get the haircut for my birthday as I had planned.

The Local is a great place to get your hair did or just hang out with some cool people. Amy cuts my hair, and she does a fantastic job everytime. I first went to her probably 5 years ago and haven't used anyone else since. Reasonable prices. Supporting a local business. You can't go wrong here!
