Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Gutes Bier in einer kultigen Bahnhofskneipe.
Never seen such a terrible portion for the price. Asked if that was a full portion of chips for £4 and the rudest waitress I’ve ever met just said “Yeah” and before I could say anything else she stormed off. Disgusting.
A decent little station pub that is friendly and good for a cheeky pint before your train or a few after you arrive in York.
OK very busy and no food being served. The table was dirty and had to clean it ourselves. Prices quite high too for location.
3.5 a pint of fosters, not bad! The air conditioner was turned on for a hot sunny day. Comfortable seats.
Staff were not the most attentative, the place felt a bit drawn out. Good for a quick stop, never had the food so can't comment.
£28 for a chicken burger and all day breakfast with two cokes sorry two glasses of ice. Mediocre food and 11 chips, two cold fried eggs around 40 beans £2.29 for toast and butter (two slices) would not recommend if u intend of lining your stomach before a good drink in York.
Good place to have a last drink while waiting for your train. It has monitors so you can see train info. Lovely staff and good selection of drinks including cask.

Quick Facts About The Duke of York

The Duke of York place has a number of strengths and weaknesses, as highlighted in the comments above.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that the pub serves good beer, particularly highlighting the quality of the beer in a "kultigen Bahnhofskneipe" or cult train station pub. This suggests that the Duke of York place has a good selection of beer and is known for serving high-quality pints.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly atmosphere of the pub, particularly for those looking to enjoy a pint before or after a train journey. It is described as a "decent little station pub" that is good for a "cheeky pint." This indicates that the Duke of York place provides a welcoming and relaxed environment for customers who are traveling through the train station.
In addition, the pub has been praised for having comfortable seats and a not-too-expensive price for a pint of Fosters at £3.50. It is also worth noting that the pub has air conditioning, which is a positive feature for customers during hot and sunny days.
However, there are also weaknesses that have been identified by customers. One major complaint is the portion sizes and prices of the food. A customer expressed disappointment with a chicken burger and an all-day breakfast that cost £28. They described the food as mediocre, with only 11 chips, two cold fried eggs, and 40 beans. It is clear that some customers feel that the portion sizes do not match the prices, and the quality of the food does not live up to their expectations.
Another issue raised by customers is the cleanliness of the tables. One person mentioned having to clean the table themselves as it was dirty upon arrival. This indicates that the Duke of York place may not prioritize cleanliness and maintenance as much as customers would like.
Moreover, some customers have complained about the attitude and attentiveness of the staff. One person described them as not being the most attentive, while another mentioned encountering a rude waitress who stormed off. These comments suggest that the quality of service at the Duke of York place may be inconsistent and could be improved.
Finally, although the pub has been praised for its selection of drinks, including cask ales, some customers mentioned that the pub does not serve food. This could be a drawback for those looking for a meal or snack while enjoying their drinks.
In conclusion, the Duke of York place has several strengths, including serving good beer, creating a friendly atmosphere, and offering comfortable seating with air conditioning. However, there are also weaknesses in terms of portion sizes and prices of the food, cleanliness of the tables, and the attitude and attentiveness of the staff. These areas of improvement could enhance the overall customer experience at the pub.
