Faultless everytime I visit which is at least once a week, usually for a spot of lunch. Generally I'm a fan of the Sandwich / Baguettes and the Smaller Plates menus, good selection and portions are extremely generous and of excellent value.
Family meal
I read the previous review from Hannah and was very surprised. We also visited 2 days ago - family of 8.
We booked here after reading the great reviews -our first visit, I had no problem ringing up and reserving our table.
We found the staff were fantastic, it was an extremely busy Friday evening but as soon as we stepped through the door we were greeted very warmly by Ellen and shown immediately to our table, she was so attentive and friendly.
Two members of our family were running 1/2 hour late and the staff were fantastic about it we weren't rushed in any way.
The food is all home cooked and delicious, well plated and good portions sizes.
The menu selection is vast, even a smaller appetite menu, people don’t realise that this makes it extremely difficult for the chefs having to order in all these ingredients , prep and cook for such a large menu choice- so credit to the chefs and kitchen team, they work very hard!!
My omelette I chose was so yummy it was totally delicious, we all agreed how nice the food was.
My favourite dessert was on the menu so I was well pleased - biscoff cheesecake - Mmmm….delicious????????
It was a fantastic night, I can’t fault the staff at all, they were all very attentive. It’s a lovely place to visit and we will be definitely returning. ****

We visited the Church House Inn,Bedwas on Saturday 04th March 2023 as a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 children) and the restaurant was full.
On arrival we were greeted and seated immediately and drinks order taken and served at our table promptly.
There was a good variety of choices on the menu and despite the venue being extremely busy, our orders were taken promptly and the food was brought to us really quickly.
The food was piping hot,portion sizes were large and the food was delicious.
Staff were very attentive and professional.
Although we live fairly locally we had never been to the Church House Inn before...........but we all had such a great experience we will definitely be returning.

What a gem! Slightly off the beaten track but well worth seeking out. The food is very good especially the speciality steaks. Cook it yourself on a hot griddle at the table! The beer is excellent and well kept and as if that isn't enough ... the staff are brilliant. Friendly but professional. We will definitely be going back and soon. ????????
Dropped by there today and I have to say the food was bloody gorgeous.
Myself and my partner both had the hunters chicken with chips and a side of cheesy garlic bread.
All of it was out of this world and cooked fresh.
Will certainly be going back there.
Fillet steak again on the black rock - absolutely amazing ????
3 of us had the steaks, best value for money anywhere for a top quality fillet.
Staff were also excellent even with every table booked.
Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quality steak.
First time visit and was thrilled! Sunday Roast was delicious and all the staff were lovely, polite and very professional. Will definitely be returning for a midweek lunch!
