This barbershop is AMAZING! They are tidy and clean and are always so professional. I tried 4-5 barbers in the area when I first moved here and Emily at this barbershop is the best by far! I would recommend this for any friends or family if you want a great haircut with professional service. You won’t be disappointed!
They are also very quick with haircuts which prevents long lines which is always something that is important! Go see Emily and the other barbers at Telegraph Barber today!
I have been coming to this Barbershop for the last three years after trying a half dozen different hair salons and barber shops near Kingstowne/Alexandria area. The store owner(Emily) is very friendly and always greets all her customers with a big smile, often remembering their first name.
One of the reasons that I like this shop is that the skill levels of Emily's staff are very comparable(excellent!) , unlike many of the national chain or large hair salons. I always walked away with a good & clean cut regardless of who cut my hair (thus, the previous review was a total surprise and somewhat shocking).
The shop is very spacious and clean. There are a couple of comfortable sofas and plentiful chairs for customers, and even toys for the little ones. This shop can be busy during weekend mornings. I also enjoy the hot towel service following the shaving. The price is also very reasonable comparing other chain salons and other shops nearby.
I think this barbershop is one of the best around this area offering a great cut with the personalized service (yes, I love the hot towel ????).
For me this is the best barbershop. I have been going to Telegraph Barber every two weeks for the past 5 years and would not get my hair cut anywhere else! Emily is the best! Very attentive and considerate. She and the staff are very hard working, prompt, and pay close attention to all of the important details. I have never gotten a bad haircut here and have always been able to get in and out quickly.
I have been a customer at Telegraph barbershop for a few months now, I usually get my hair cut by Emily. The barbers are friendly and take feedback really well, in order to ensure customer satisfaction. I can always count on getting a solid haircut, fit for a personal and professional setting, at an very reasonable price.

I have been coming to this barbershop for a few years now. Emily and everyone that works there truly are so wonderful and excellent at their job! My son and I go in every few months and Emily is always so kind to us and remembers us just like we were there the day prior. The quality of their work is superb. Not only does my son love coming here, it’s a barbershop we will be coming back to for years and years to come.
I've been a Telegraph Barbershop customer since 2016 and have had a great experience with Emily and her talented team. The shop is clean, the barbers take their time to make sure the customer is satisfied, and it's always fun to see Emily's friendly interactions with every customer, especially the kids. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a permanent barber.
Being new to the area, I tried all of the local barber shops before settling on my go-to…trust me when I say Telegraph Barber Shop is the best. Their staff is very friendly and always makes you feel welcome. What impresses me the most is the attention to detail that each hair stylist employs. Susan in particular is very methodical in the way she cuts my hair and does a fantastic job every time. The price is very reasonable considering the quality of service their team provides and I look forward to coming here for years to come.
I first visited this barber shop while on Active Duty, having just moved into the area. 6 years later, now retired, I am a regular and thoroughly enjoy the experience. Emily and her staff are outstanding barbers, with great prices, and outstanding haircuts. I love their customer service and will continue to use this barber shop for many more years to come.
