This place is in a beautiful setting, right up to the beach, you can sit upstairs inside, on the veranda or down on the beach. They are very dog friendly, allowing dogs inside as well as outside. The staff are very friendly and very willing to go the extra mile. The food is excellent, reasonable prices and very large portions. It was without question our favourite place to eat during our 1 week stay in one of the local caravan parks, I fully recommend
For me in overall was terrible, huge chips, I ordered Apple Jack Daniels with Apple juice and it doesnt even looks or taste like what im ordered, chicken burger worst ever, only bun and chicken fillet, thanks God they have tomato souce.
We came in and sit down, lady come up took our drinks said she will be back to take order for food after 45min we had to look for someone to take our order. Finally we order and we had another 45 min waiting time for food, no it wasn't even busy.
Customer service - poor , no one got interested in us to be served , we had to go and ask for receipt.. they wanted to charged us for something that was already with my meal , so please check you receipts.
Food : dry , dry, dry I had steak which is 20£ so you expect something nice .. asked for medium got well done instead, they forget mushroom and onion rings on my meal. My partner got mixed grill and everything was overcooked as well ! For little pot of peppercorn sauce you have to pay 2.5£ and this souce don't even have a taste - waste of money.
I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Lovely friendly staff, warm welcome and enjoyed returning to this restaurant while visiting Weymouth again. Love the view across Weymouth bay and Portland in the distance as the sun sets. Food was freshly served, hot and tasty and ok price wise, although there are things that i believe have slipped since we came here last but nothing really major, soap in mens toilet, waiting staff being a little more attentive, it didn't spoil the occasion & we will be back so overall thank you Sunset Bar & restaurant
We didnt have a reservation but we were able to get a table for two at short notice which was good, we were served relatively quickly and had our drinks served to us within 5 mins of ordering. The food was okay, and looking around at other diners food, the burgers looked the nicest in its presentation. I had the chicken and mozerrella pasta, it was okay, a bit bland in taste and the chicken chunks were dry, it was a large portion though. My husband had a smash burger, however didnt have any kind of sauce inside so was very dry, small portion size of chips and a measly portion of coleslaw and salad. On the upside he did say the burger tasted good though.
As the place got busier we werent then a thought in any of the waiters minds and was left alone. Noone came to check on us or offer any more drinks etc. It was also difficult to get anyones attention to get the bill, appreciate they were focussed on a large party however not the best dining experience overall.
Probably would only return to have drinks rather than have dinner though.
Great food for a decent price. Sat here in the summer, eating a meal and drinking lots of tasty cocktails. Had reggae music weekend aswell so the music just added to the amazing atmosphere. Sitting outside, enjoying the sunshine, music, food, and drink just made my evening
Terrible food and service. The waiter who served was more interested in talking about himself and that's without you even asking.
Forgot some of the food order but due to being awful food , it was not a priority in the end. Couldn't wait to pay up and leave.
Felt like we were abroad! Loved the view and the open doors showcasing the beach and ocean view. Tasty burgers and cheese pizza for our boy. Friendly staff.
