I read the reviews as I was on holiday and yes I can confirm that this is great for food. Amazing crispy haddock and the chips are to die for. Daughter had battered sausage and loved it. Would highly recommend
tried to have a “tasty” cheeky meal to end the night shift and was appalled at the sights i saw at the opening of the polystyrene box! a fat and skinny horse leg put into it was green chips!!! i think the hell not i’m disgusted ! sally was serving me this and was as good as gold handling my review but i threw it back at her ( bruising her left cheek ) ! sunny please do better in the fishing world. will not be returning.
Best chip I've been to in a while, I am not a local and was near Bournemouth Pier and saw a chip shop that looked unhygenic, so I decided to travel to Sunny's and it was definetely worth it. Cooked to perfection, thin batter on fish, cooked fresh, everything was good.
I got a large cod and chips.
Customer service was fast, we didn’t have to wait long while ordering 4 pcs of fish and chips for take out. The place was also clean.
Most importantly they taste really good. Would recommend to others. Prices are posted in one of the photos below, which are actually not bad.
The most awful, rude & ignorant 'staff' i have ever had the misfortune 2 be refused 2 be served by (apparently i did not know the difference between a pescetarian & a vegetarian). I was virtually chased from this establishment whilst being verbally abused. I had ridden my e-scooter quickly 2 this establishment (on a cold evening) & arrived bright eyed & bushy tailed with a slightly runny nose. I was told there was no food at all & "Look at the state of ya..." was 1 of the comments. This was totally unacceptable behaviour from said 'staff' & it needs 2 be addressed immediately. If the owners or senior management are reading this: sunday 5th of march 2023 at @ 22:10 hrs was whence this incident happened. I do not recommend or endorse this place (no pun intended, could not get any anyway), hence this review.
Was fancying a nice meal from the chippy… A nice piece of cod to end my night. So I thought to myself, let me try something new. Let me give Sunny’s the benefit of the doubt. Worst mistake of 2023. I opened the box to be drowned with an instant wave of regret. A stench hit me square in the face. It filled my nostrils and I could not get rid of it. The thing Sunny’s calls a “cod” was a lump of craperoonie and a half! I cannot believe this. I decided to not even try a bite of that thing. However, I broke it in half to check for others’ safety… AND DROPPED IT AND RAN AWAY. I saw maggots slivering and squirming around in the cod I paid for with my hard earned money. Never coming back again. Would NOT recommend. Repent from this place. Shut it down.
Amazing place. Friendly staff. Burgers are the best. And fish is out off this world. Keep up the good work ????
Gorgeous fish! Had cod and chips with curry sauce. Hosts were the best we've ever met in a chip shop. Sooo accommodating as it was raining so we ended up eating in. Went above and beyond with their service. Thankyou. X ❤
