I decided to come here after seeing the good reviews boy do I regret coming here. For one. Not only does The owner "bret"has terrible customer service. He messed my son's hair. Then had the nerve to argue with me about it. He kept saying my son has a bad hair line that's why his hair cut was so trash. Are you serious?. I told him I wish I would've known that he didn't know what he was doing before he started cutting his hair. His words were " I admit I could've done a better job cleaning him up" With a smirk on his face. Smh . The whole experience was just terrible ( including the hair cut )arguing with a customer because your skills are not up to par is not the way to go buddy. The line up didn't even look like it was lined up nor did he " clean it up" afterwards. The look on my son's face when we left made me so upset. It's like he killed his self esteem. Smh. No apology nothing. All he wanted was the money. My son and I both expressed how terrible his haircut was and how we felt about it but he didn't care. Thanks alot " bret" ! I will NeVeR Ever ever be returning to this barber shop again! Yes. That haircut was definitely "something different" ( terribly different) ???? If I could give 0 stars I would.

I'm from out of town and decided to give them a try. Calvin gave the best haircut I've ever had. If you're looking for a legit barbershop without any gimmicks, this is the place to go. Very clean, super professional barbers, and great conversation. I highly recommend and will be back!
Brought my nephews in for a haircut and was very pleased with the end result. Definitely a very friendly environment and kid friendly. Great atmosphere and very easy to find in the downtown area.. Strongly recommend and the nephews will bee repeat customers.
I took my 2 year old son here today to get his first haircut, my son was a little bit wild while he was getting it done, but his barber Von was very gentle and quick with him and he ended up still having a nice haircut. All the guys there were very friendly and professional. I will definitely be back :).

I went to something different beauty and Barbershop on November 24th 2021 it was my 1st time ever going to this particular Barbershop and I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism by the Barber that I had which I'm sure all of the barbers are equally professional and know their job my particular barber's name was Brent and I must say Living here in Illinois it was nice for me to find a good Barber seeing as how I've only lived in the area since July of 2021. So I would like to say thank you for being their for me.
