CASH ONLY!!! Just remember it’s cash only and although there is a small sticker mentioning this on the backboard menu they won’t remind you until they’re cooking your food. So please make sure you have your physical card with you to access the cash machine across the road.
The place itself is quirky and great for kids, they get to sit in the cockpit; a great distraction whilst you’re ordering your food. The food was fresh & very tasty. So tasty it can get messy :). I would recommend taking some handy wet wipes though as the sauce bottles that get passed from table to table can get mucky. Other than that, the place was decent. Great photo opportunities, if someone doesn’t just park their car under the plane Grrr !! despite there being a car park and parking on the side of the road if the parking is full. Remember, cash only !

A cool diner/takeway experience in a plane. The steak cooked on board is really well done. Highly recommended the mix steak and chicken with chips. Unfortunately no toilets on board and they take cash payment only each time I've visited.
Food was amazing! The steak meat was the best I have EVER tasted! Food is priced very fairly as well.
The best thing about it is that it's a real life airplane! The cockpit onboard is real and it feels so real when one looks out the window!
Food nice, but very long wait. Comes piping hot though with nice atmosphere to eat. Kids love the cockpit

Not bad at all! Steaks On A Plane from our experience is a takeaway restaurant in a converted 737. Its situated quite close to Bolton University in a bit of a ropey area of Bolton. We managed to park on the little carpark below the plane. We both ordered a steak meal on the menu and it came as finely cut steak pieces on top of chips, Mine had cheese as it was the Philly option and these come in takaway trays (I'm assuming its the plane meal feel?), Drinks wise its cans of pop only. Anyway the food was great and my lad enjoyed climbing into the cabin. I will add this place is CASH ONLY but there is a cash machine at one of the shops in front of the plane. Enjoy it for what it is! :)
So we ordered this today at 8:15pm got told the good will be ready in 5min wasn't ready till 9pm. We ordered mixed steak / chicken and chips and received a portion of steak and chips with cold food and left over stale chips! Really disappointed you closed and wouldnt take called at 9:05pm so couldn't even bring this back!!!
Answer machine message left an absolute joke please visit steakhouse Halliwell road avoid the disappointment
Food never disappoints from here. Steak on a chips is very tasty and very big portions. The only negative is that the prices have increased drastically and they don’t accept card which is very inconvenient!
