Aberystwyth is a great holiday retreat. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit although it felt too short.
Regarding the weather, no two days were the same. It was just like having a changing canvas and added to the pleasure of the visit.
There were so many places to visit and I enjoyed some fantastic walks.
It wasn’t busy at all- on a cloudy sunny day.
The shapes of the rocks and pebbles (actually looks unreal)
If you have a fish tank or small pond- come and grab it for free ????.
Worth visiting- not the best soft sand available but luckily well shaped pebbles and small rocks will actually make you stay and play with them.
Less crowded than the second beach, only a few minutes away. Also a bit longer with millions of pebbles of various colors and shapes. Classic views of the Welsh coast with colorful houses and green hills.
Nice Seaside promenade for afternoon stroll with lovely views, with plenty of place to eat and drink
Lifeguard on duty. Stone beach with easy access. In the evening there were many groups with small fires. It looked magical!
Always a lovely place to visit on a glorious early autumn day. The north beach is great too with a climb up Constitution Hill which has a pleasant cafe at the top. Amazing views over Aberystwyth.
The best beach, and quietest, of Aberystwyth. South of the castle marks the South Beach, ending in the harbour. Pastel-fronted properties, fronted by the pebbles that lead down to the waves (no sand here). The Hut provides excellent ice cream, and the coffee is very good indeed. This is the best place to see the bottlenose dolphins.
It was very relaxing I could have stayed longer. A nice lazy day out, had some lovely icecream. It wasn't overly busy.
