Don't judge a book by it's cover. You see this place has over a thousand reviews...what are you waiting for? Yup, this place has some good food! I had the Enchilada platter and the wife had a burrito. We ate until we were stuffed and still took home about 3lbs worth of food that we couldn't eat. Is this the best Mexican food you've ever eaten...no! But it's pretty damn good for the price. Huge portions and low prices....best all around!

The hole-in-the-wall places are always the best…Sofia’s is no exception. The veggie burrito I had was wonderful. The salsa is amazing…so much so that the friend I was with took home a 32 ounce container. The place was packed, but the server was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back soon. What you see is what was left after lunch. Yum yum!

It’s a small restaurant. Nice service. Homemade food. Reasonable prices. After crossing the border, it’s a good place to stop and eat.

Es un restaurante pequeño con servicio amable. La comida es muy casera. Pedí fajitas mixtas, una enchilada y chiles rellenos. Nos gustaron los chiles rellenos. Un buen lugar para llegar después de cruzar la frontera para comer.

Delicious and super quick place for Mexican food. The chips and salsa are delicious. I tried the carne asada quesadilla. So good. So big! My friend had a combo plate with shredded beef tacos -I had one delicious. The chicken enchiladas were smothered with some of the best red sauce and cheese. Must stop on the way to rocky point

A hole in the wall local restaurant worth checking out. Rice as really good, the taco had a lot more potatoes than meat but it reminded me of home back in Texas the way my mom makes it. I got the Sonora enchiladas with carne asada and it did not disappoint. The flavors all blended well together and it was the right amount of masa. The only thing I’ll add when ordering next time is lettuce and tomato on top of the enchiladas, mmm!!!
