I’ve taken my kids to Sandy and started having my hair cut here as well. It’s best to call rather than walk in and booking can be a little disorganized. This is a unique barber and different experience than typical fast paced walk-in salon. She is very meticulous with mastery and expertise of a set of cuts and styles. If you want a haircut she knows, you’ll get the best haircut ever. But I could see someone being unsatisfied if they ask for a style she isn’t use to doing. At first she turned me down saying she doesn’t cut women’s hairstyles. At the time, I was getting an undercut and was a little taken aback by the divide she drew between male/female styles. I assured her it wasn’t a problem and reassured her as she went—and in the end I got a fantastic haircut. Now I have gone several times and understand it is her caution because she wants to offer something perfect and is unsure of her skill with certain requests. I enjoy this sort of unique rapport and not afraid to take a risk on a hairstyle - after all it’ll grown back!
I could not get into any barbershop without an appointment. Called Sandy’s and she got me in within 10 minutes. Super friendly and did a great job on my boyfriends hair. She’s very precise and detailed!
Sandy was not very friendly. I asked for a fairly simple haircut, just a 3 and asked if she could do a slow fade on the sides and back. Instead she said, “how about I surprise you.” Being there for the first time I thought maybe she has a better idea. She gave me the mirror multiple times after taking barely any hair off each time asking if it was good, but I wanted it shorter! I noticed she shaved my widows peak but left my bangs long and completely missed the top/back of my head so now I have a stupid bed head look that wont go away. Overall worst haircut of my life. Very disappointed, especially for $25.
I couldnt get an appt anywhere and happened to see her shop. She was able to get me in and out in 15 mins and my haircut was perfect. She's very nice and professional.
Sandy is an expert in getting men groomed!! Always cheerful, quick, with a great service. No appointments required which works great for me.
I happened on Sandy’s by accident. One of the large chains couldn’t take me for two hours and I found her shop on Google. The atmosphere is nice and homey. Sandy was very professional and friendly. She listened to what I wanted and did it perfectly! I like that it’s her business and she won’t be leaving any time soon like the stylists at the chains do. It’s good to support local businesses, especially now. I highly recommend her.
I couldn’t rate this higher! She got me in at the last minute and after closing, and did an awesome job. I usually think my cut is too long or too short, but this was perfect. Very personable and enjoyable experience: I will be back.
Sandy is great! She's super nice and is always very gentle. I often think haircuts are kind of therapeutic so if I go somewhere else and they're rough it makes things unpleasant. She does a great job with little input and the environment is very welcoming
