Salon No. 5 is the best place to get your hair done in Portsmouth. Not only is the place clean and beautiful, but the overall service is phenomenal. I saw Sorassa for a full cut color and style and walked away with a look that I absolutely love. She is one of the warmest people you will ever meet and knows how to take care of your hair in a professional and fun way! I will most definitely be seeing her from now on for my hair. Thank you for the amazing services that you provided and for making me look stunning!

Salon No.5 is the absolute best! Always clean (not to mention beautiful!) and Sorassa always does an amazing job on my highlights. She is incredibly experienced and professional while also being welcoming and kind. I always look forward to my appointments here and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Salon No. 5 is a beautiful, clean, spacious salon. It’s conveniently located with lots of parking. Sorossa, the owner, is talented and passionate about what she does, and makes the experience enjoyable every time. She has over 20 years of experience and takes so much pride on her work. Her attention to detail and how much she cares is like no other. She is masterful at color, she’s patient and is always so lovely. Everyone in my family goes to Salon No. 5, including my teenage twin daughters!

It’s always such a treat to get your hair styled. Sorassa ups it up a notch and more. She’s an amazing talented stylist and has helped me figure out a style. Best cuts I’ve ever had. One of the nicest and openly genuine woman I know. Easy to talk to and inspiring to listen to. The salon is great; clean, chic, spacious and everyone is friendly. Portsmouth is lucky to have Salon No. 5.

Salon No. 5 is an absolute gem on the seacoast. Sorassa, owner and stylist, is the most talented woman (in every way)! She is patient, incredibly creative and educated, and literally the kindest person you will every meet. She is constantly keeping up with the latest trends and styles. I get so excited for my appointments as I know I will be pampered and leave feeling beautiful, uplifted and inspired! All her stylists are so friendly and welcoming, and each have a long list of loyal clients. Try Salon No. 5, your search for an amazing stylist/make up artist will end here, I can assure you!

If you have not been here yet, you need to! Such a beautiful setting and the kindest and most talented staff. Sorassa, the owner, is one of the most genuine people I know and has been cutting my hair for over 10 years! I’m so grateful to have found her and even when I lived all over the country I would make sure to get in for an appt whenever I was home- she’s that good and no one else compares! She’s so fashionable and knowledgeable on the latest trends and styles while also balancing that with a classic style. And she is the most calming, motivating and encouraging person to get your hair done by! Cannot recommend her or Salon No. 5 enough!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Ryan. I have extremely thick and challenging curly hair. I’ve been to other stylists and they just don’t know how to tackle my hair. Ryan takes the time to get it right (and with the amount of hair I have it definitely TAKES TIME!). She never rushes, and always offers styling tips, professional suggestions and I trust her completely to make me look and feel beautiful. it’s to the point that when I visit her I always just say “just make me beautiful” and I fully trust her to do whatever she wants and I’ve NEVER been disappointed. She’s a color genius. I drive over an hour to see her because she’s just that great, and I’m so excited she’s now at Salon 5 because it’s such a gorgeous and glamorous atmosphere. My daughter (9 years old) has also just recently begun seeing her and she had a blast at the salon last month. Ryan is great with kids, and with the candy treats, coloring books and cool, hip atmosphere -she was able to stay entertained while still feeling like she was part of a cool “girl’s day” experience.
