Had a fish and chips here at lunch time and I can say how freshly it was made. Tasty and not oily like many other places. Highly recommend ????????
Absolutely amazing! The fish was fresh and the chips were just the right texture and the mushy peas were too! Will definitely return. 10/10... Amina was so polite and couteous! Great customer service too. Very clean and friendly environment.
Friendly staff and lovely food. Would recommend the jacket potatoe as was quite big and filling with the cheese and beans. Will be going back for sure
We had really lovely breakfast at Rose, staff was really friendly and even when we tweaked the food on menu there was not much trouble at all,coffee and tea was lovely too

I honestly couldn't say I enjoyed eating here. I had to clean and sanitise the table myself as it was not clean when I sat down. There is little social distancing between some of the tables.
The meal itself.....I ordered fish and chips and was disappointed to get fries and frozen fish, especially for £8. I was given a can of drink with no glass, or straw offered. My husbands full English breakfast was very small and not worth £6.50. There was a hair in my meal and the cutlery was not overly clean. (thankfully I had all my own wipes, sanitisers etc).

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place!, to look at it doesn't look the best and could do with a bit of a re vamp, however the staff here was great so nice so friendly and so helpful the place was clean as well.
The food came and looked and tasted so nice!, much much better than I expected I will definitely be making another visit her for food.
The fish was crystal white and fresh the chips were some of the best I've had and the peas were just right as well, not like bullets as youd expect in most places.
The cost was very reasonable not to expensive at all.
A great lunch experance her I would definitely recommend this place.
Myself and my sister and a friend had the fish and chips and they were excellent. First time we tasted proper fish and chips. Portions were good, chips were hot and crispy.will most likely revisit the restaurant again.
Wouldn't even give them half a star to be honest.
All the food was disgusting aside from the sausages, the chips weren't cooked, were a soggy mess and tasted awful, the calamari was over cooked, Drinking glasses were dirty and smelt of Fish, I had two eggs with my meal, one was harder than the stones on the beach and the other might as well have been cracked onto my plate and left as it was, and the chef looked more of a mess than the fellas at the pub next door.
The only reason I give them a star is because "SOME" of the staff there was very apologetic regarding the meal, but no one did anything to rectify the amount of money I paid for basically nothing as we left the plates full and showed our displeasure with there food.
Would highly recommend walking straight past as my partner has been unwell ever since and we had to cut our stay at Southend short due to this.
I would never even consider eating here again, I'd be more obliged to stand outside with a sign directing people away.
Thanks for ruining what should have been a lovely weekend away Rose restaurant, if I was to give some advice clean your equipment so there's no cross contamination as I can taste the different foods across your menu, and would strongly recommend employing a chef that can actually cook.
