Quick Facts About Redbrick House

Redbrick House has several strengths that make it an appealing place to stay. Firstly, it is a charming and traditional hotel located in the English countryside. This gives it a unique and authentic atmosphere that many guests appreciate. The rooms are also mentioned to be beautiful and well-kept, with plenty of space, making them ideal for families or larger groups.
One of the standout strengths of Redbrick House is its staff. Multiple comments highlight the friendliness and accommodating nature of the staff members. They are praised for going above and beyond to provide excellent service, such as calling a taxi or even personally driving guests to their destination. This level of customer service is something that many guests appreciate and value.
The breakfast at Redbrick House is also highly regarded. Guests comment that it is really good and mention that there are many options available. This is important as breakfast is often considered the most important meal of the day, and a good one can set a positive tone for the rest of the day.
Another strength of Redbrick House is its surrounding grounds. Guests enjoy walking around and taking in the scenery, which adds to the overall experience of staying at the hotel. There are also mentions of hot tubs, which seem to be a popular feature. While there is a comment about the speakers being disabled on the hot tubs due to noise complaints, it is clear that some guests were still able to have a positive experience with them.
The positive comments about Redbrick House continue with mentions of a great wedding reception and delicious meals served at the restaurant. The wedding reception is described as wonderful, with the staff receiving specific appreciation for their service. This shows that Redbrick House has the capacity to cater for special events and provide a memorable experience for guests.
In terms of weaknesses, one comment mentions that there is little around the place. While this might not be an issue for guests specifically looking for a tranquil countryside retreat, it does mean that there is a lack of nearby restaurants, pubs, and shops. Those wanting more options for dining or entertainment may need to travel further.
Another weakness that is mentioned is regarding the beds. One guest comments that the bed was past its best and that they could feel every spring. A comfortable bed is essential for a good night's sleep, so this negative experience with the bed could be a significant drawback for some guests.
There is also a comment mentioning that one of the cabins was tired and dated, suggesting the need for renovations to bring it up to a higher standard. However, the comment also acknowledges that the new owners are making efforts to improve the property, so this might not be a long-term issue.
Furthermore, it is suggested that Redbrick House could benefit from having a feedback book in the lodge, as well as a DVD player for guests to use during their stay. These are small suggestions for improvement but could enhance the overall experience for guests.
In conclusion, Redbrick House has several strengths that make it an appealing place to stay. The traditional and charming atmosphere, well-kept rooms, excellent customer service, and good breakfast are all highlights mentioned in the comments. However, there are also some weaknesses mentioned, such as the lack of nearby amenities and the need for improvements to beds and cabins. Overall, Redbrick House seems to offer a unique and enjoyable experience, but there is room for further development and enhancements.

The staff here are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was really good too. The rooms are a great size, in fact on the really large size. So great for a family. The down side is there is little around the place, but great for access to Sherwood forest and local walks. It's a drive to nearby restaurants, pubs and shops. The real downside was the bed. Which was definitely past it's best. Could feel every spring.
Really nice lodges. Stayed for 4 nights over Christmas and it was delightful. The rooms are well kept and furnished nicely. The surrounding grounds are nice to walk around and the staff are very pleasant. the hot tubs were perfect though they had disabled the speakers on them due to noise complaints previously, we did not think this was necessary and were able to play music at a good level which you couldn't even hear at the end of the lodges walkway. Would happily stay again.
Just got back from Redbrick house and to be honest I don't know where to Stewart. The people were fabulous, the suite we had was brilliant, Doreen, the manageress, went above and beyond ,her service was fantastic, she phoned a taxi for us,chased it up when it was late, when it didn't come Alan who was in the bar nipped us to the church, without taking payment. The food was great ,the breakfast was great ,the lady whose name I didn't catch served us with great confidence. My wife & I are now trying to get to stay in one of the lodges. If you haven't been to Redbrick house, get there soon. Just brilliant
I and my family have visited the restaurant here two times on our way to the Sherwood Pines Forest Park. The staff were great and very friendly to the children both times, even though the place was very busy the first time and they were one person short the second time. Large enough venue to not feel cramped even with lots of guests. Several vegetarian options.
Our wedding reception at Red Brick House was wonderful. Thank u to Doreen and her team of waitresses, chef's and bar staff. All of our guests commented how much they enjoyed the beautiful meal they served us. You helped to make our day extra special.
Had a great time here. The grounds/views and the staff are fantastic. Special mention to Konor (park manager) who was always friendly and sorted anything that needed sorting with no fuss. His little apprentice was also very helpful (sorry don't know his name). I wish we had stayed in the Sherwood or Oakridge as the only thing that let this holiday down was the cabin itself. It wasn't terrible...it was clean and tidy but it was very tired and dated. It needs a bit of a face lift to live upto a 5 star resort. I have given this 4 starts based on staff and the grounds but the cabin was a 3 star at most. The new owners are great and think they will turn this place around but until they do we wouldn't go back to the Moshannan. Couple of notes that I would add as a quick fix... have a feedback book in the lodge so other guests know what's around the area and worth doing but also a comment book for guests to let the owners know what they could improve on without having to add it to feedback, hate to mark a place down on little things. One thing I would of put down would of been... might want to add a DVD player so in between the walks and days out the kids have something to do and we could chill with a DVD after relaxing in the hot tub. If your looking for a getaway then this cabin is fine but if your looking for a bit of luxury then book one of the other cabins.
A fabulous place hidden in plain sight, only a mile out of Mansfield en route to Sherwood Forest.
We stayed in an authentic log cabin which could have been miles from anywhere and enjoyed a Sunday lunch in the Redbrick House restaurant - the veggie option, ????and brie wellington was particularly good.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
