Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Been using Red Fort for over 20 years and always has been excellent, but recently they have been getting my order wrong everytime. 4 times in a row now they have missed an item or missed half of the order. Now waiting another hour on top of the hour and a half I’ve already waited for my original order to come. Just disappointed they used to get my order right everytime.
Got carry out last night was very poor, Pakora must have been reheated a few times before we got it, Ckicken tandoori was burnt black and very dry. Chasni sauce was very watery and tasteless, all in all very disappointing. Won't be using again.
Such a good place for a meal. Went tonight for a date with the fiancée. Would highly recommended it. Friendly staff. Try the South Indian garlic chilli if you get a chance.
Ordered veg pakora and tandoori chicken
Pakora good
Rice good
Salad forgettable
Chicken terrible.
Just ordered the chicken jolanda and I ordered the extra hot,, it was delicious, I should have just got the normal hot though as it was lava levels of hot!. But delicious, chicken nice and tender, rice properly cooked also and a large naan bread to boot , red Fort the best in town by far!!
We went to this restaurant this week. They had an offer of a meal deal for £9.95 posted in the front door so I decided to have that. When I tried to order it I was told that it was a pre-covid offer. Why do they leave a poster in the door for over 5 months if it isn't available? We then ordered from the main menu. I ordered the chicken patia and my partner ordered the chicken chasni. We also ordered rice and a naan bread. The portion of rice was small and served on a saucer for some reason. The main courses arrived and we were both surprised to find that there were only 6 cubes of chicken in each meal. The food tasted very nice but for £8.95 for the main course plus an additional £2.95 for rice it was certainly not value for money. Basically £11.90 for 6 cubes of chicken, a small portion of rice and loads of sauce. Staff were friendly and the place was clean.
Had a few takeaways from here. Food always fresh, love the naan bread, chips always good, salad is fresh and really nice. Lakota is nice too. Can't fault it.
Had an meal here tonight
Curry was good, serving spoons scalding hot, rice was burnt.
Worst was a creepy guy a member of staff sat and stared at my girlfriend anytime she left her seat. Was her that said to me felt very uncomfortable.
Rest of staff were polite and professional but won't go back.

Quick Facts About Red Fort

The Red Fort has been a popular place for over 20 years, receiving positive reviews and strong recommendations. However, recent comments highlight some weaknesses that have emerged. It is important to consider both the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment to get a comprehensive understanding of the overall experience.
One of the longstanding strengths of the Red Fort is its consistent excellence. Several customers have expressed their satisfaction with the quality of food and service over the years. This indicates that the restaurant has established a reputation for providing a high standard of dining experience. Additionally, the friendliness of the staff has been mentioned positively, suggesting a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
The variety of dishes available at the Red Fort is another strength. The South Indian garlic chilli dish, in particular, has been highly recommended by a customer, demonstrating the restaurant's ability to offer unique and flavorful options. Moreover, the freshness of the food has been praised in multiple comments, emphasizing the quality and attention to detail in its preparation.
However, recent negative experiences have also been shared by customers, pointing out some weaknesses. One recurring issue is incorrect orders. One customer mentioned that their order had been wrong on four separate occasions, which is certainly concerning. These mistakes can significantly impact a customer's experience and may lead to frustration and disappointment.
Disappointing quality of food is another weakness that has been highlighted. In one comment, a customer mentioned that their pakora was reheated multiple times, resulting in a dry and unappetizing dish. Another customer complained about the burnt and dry tandoori chicken, as well as the watery and tasteless chasni sauce. These experiences suggest a decline in the overall quality of the food, which can leave customers dissatisfied.
Value for money has also been raised as a concern. One customer mentioned that despite ordering from the main menu, they received a small portion of rice served on a saucer, and only six cubes of chicken in their main course. Considering the prices paid, the portion sizes were perceived as unsatisfactory, leading to a feeling of not getting good value for money.
One comment described an uncomfortable experience with a member of staff who stared at a customer's girlfriend whenever she left her seat. Such behavior is inappropriate and can contribute to an uncomfortable atmosphere, possibly impacting a customer's overall impression of the establishment.
In conclusion, the Red Fort has enjoyed a strong reputation for many years, with loyal customers praising the quality of food and service. However, recent comments indicate some weaknesses that have emerged, such as incorrect orders, disappointing food quality, inadequate portion sizes, and uncomfortable experiences with staff members. It is crucial for the restaurant to address these issues promptly to ensure its continued success and maintain a positive reputation in the future.
