It's been a while since i went to the traditional barber shop in the hood and this location kind of threw me me off. My son and went here and suggested it and as soon as i heard it was a black business I didn't hesitate in going. I have dreads so I'm going in for a shave. The atmosphere is really cool and inspiring. I was welcomed at the door and proceeded with the wait. As i waited the conversations were just like the barbershop i went to in Inglewood, Ca so i was comfortable. Where this barbershop took it to the next level was the shave. He asked me some questions about razor bumps and what i do after i get a shave which i thought was weird, but helpful. Next thing I know this hot towel is on my face and i was relaxed until i started to feel this machine massaging my face. I almost went to sleep and that is the reason i go back. Prices are a bit high, but for the service it's worth it. Great customer service, clean area, great conversations, and just that barbershop that makes you feel good after. As far as it is now from me i will make the trip for a 5 star shave.
Visited with my son while in town for a trip. The barber, though young, gave my son a cut he loved. Super professional, mad skilled and a great conversationalist. Nice waiting area with a large screen TV too. Thank you Platinum Cuts!
Top notch ???????? in both cuts and braids highly recommended they had the kids school ready appreciate it all love be back soon!!
Sent my son here and he was met with rude responses and laughed out of there. Honestly it's 2021 and we treat people like garbage because of their skin color? Wow.
Prior to this experience I was excited to see a strong local business in our neighborhood and wanted to support them by giving our business we have 3 boys and my husband so that's a good amount of cuts on a regular basis.
I been getting chopped here for a couple years now, love the staff everyone greets you and makes you feel at home. Malcolm always gets me clean and confident when I step out the chair. Prices are fair especially for the quality and I've rarely waited more than an hour. Great conversation (without over doing it) and music. Highly recommended.
This isn't the place to go to if you are in a hurry, but if you want a great cut and don't mind relaxing, watching some TV, and waiting a little bit for your cut, then this is the right place. I'm white, which I don't think is really worth mentioning, but 2 of the other reviews mentioned that the barbers were racist. I never had any issues here. I'm white, almost 40, and have a typical white guy haircut. There have never been any issues. Everyone is friendly, I've had my kids get their haircuts here too. They have medium length hair, usually just above their eyes after a cut. This place has been the best cut they have had, and they always get a lot of compliments after I take them here. Sometimes they go to other barbers because they don't like to wait as long, but for me, a great cut is worth waiting a little bit for.
They have moved and are now on Eastern and Rawhide. I just happened to be on my way to get a cut and clicked the reviews. Most of them were old, and the recent one was incorrect by what I have seen. I've been going here every 6 weeks or so for a year.
Great place. Barbers are all on point. The shop is clean and has a fun family atmosphere. Wait times arent that long. Very impressed with the skill of my barber. Cleaned me up with the fade and beard trim line up. Finished my cut with razor line up. My goto place in Vegas.
Very friendly guys. I was in Las Vegas from New York and needed a haircut. I tried out Platinum and found my barber shop now since I am moving to Las Vegas in March. I am not sure but the barber name who cut my hair was Malcolm I believe. He was very friendly and focused, the next tall barber with beard was with another customer, but yet took a minute to shake hands with me. I will recommend this place to anyone who wanna get a great haircut and also be treated nice.

Quick Facts About Platinum Cuts Barber Shop

Platinum Cuts Barber Shop has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the atmosphere of the shop is mentioned multiple times, with customers feeling comfortable, relaxed, and inspired by the environment. The fact that the conversations and vibe resemble those of traditional barbershops in Inglewood, California suggests that Platinum Cuts successfully captures the essence of a welcoming and friendly community space. This strength can help create a positive and inclusive customer experience.
Another strength is the quality of the services provided. Customers praise the barbers' skills and professionalism, highlighting their ability to deliver great haircuts and braids. The positive feedback about the conversations with the barbers indicates that they are engaged and provide an enjoyable experience beyond just the haircut itself. Additionally, the use of hot towels and face massages during a shave demonstrates a commitment to providing a luxurious and pampering service.
Cleanliness and customer service are also mentioned as strengths. The shop is described as clean, and the barbers greet and make customers feel at home. This attention to cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere contributes to creating a positive overall experience for customers.
Despite these strengths, there are some weaknesses that can be identified based on the comments. One customer mentions that the prices are a bit high, suggesting that Platinum Cuts may not be the most affordable option for everyone. While the comment states that the service is worth the cost, it may still be a barrier for some potential customers, especially those on a tight budget.
Another weakness is mentioned in a negative review where a customer reports encountering rude responses and perceived racism towards their son. This incident is described as laughing the customer's son out of the shop. Such behavior is unacceptable and can tarnish the reputation of the business. It is important for Platinum Cuts to address and rectify any instances of racism or disrespectful treatment to ensure an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers.
One comment mentions waiting times as a weakness, stating that the shop is not the place to go if you're in a hurry. While this may not be an issue for customers who prioritize a great cut over a quick one, it could potentially deter customers who value efficiency and short waiting times.
Lastly, the shop's relocation is mentioned as a weakness. Customers who are not aware of the move may show up at the previous location, resulting in inconvenience and potential loss of business. Platinum Cuts should ensure that their customers are properly informed about any changes in their address to avoid confusion.
In conclusion, Platinum Cuts Barber Shop has several strengths, including a welcoming atmosphere, skilled barbers, luxurious services, cleanliness, and friendly customer service. However, there are also weaknesses in terms of pricing, potential incidents of racism or disrespectful treatment, waiting times, and communication regarding location changes. Addressing and improving these weaknesses will help Platinum Cuts enhance their overall customer experience and solidify their reputation as a top-notch barber shop.
