RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF. Was so happy when I knew there were knew owners but wow what a disappointment. The portion size in this place is ridiculous. £7 for small chips and battered sausage and you get about 10 chips. I asked for more as I thought they had done it for d but they refused. Awful place awful service. Boycott
Absolutely AVOID - raw chips, cold , first deep fried in another fryer then re heated - cod awful - now charged for tartare where it was free previously - Change of ownership has led to a startling decline in food and standards
Bring back the old owners!
Was appalled at the service today. Was made to wait at the counter without any acknowledgement, when I was eventually served by the young girl with ginger hair in a ponytail, she never once said please or thank you and proceeded to yell at the man behind the counter preparing the food.
Such a shame as this place used to be the best. Poor service makes even loyal customers to go elsewhere.
Used to be the best fish and chips in the area by far. Not any more since the new owners took over. The service is diabolical (they don’t pick up the phone on a Friday evening because they’re too busy!). I arrived at at 8.45pm but they stopped cooking even though they close at 9?! And worst of all, the food is very poor (I tried a few times thinking it may just have been a bad day).
Such a shame that someone can take over a thriving business and manage to ruin it. I certainly will not be visiting again.
Was once the best chippy with the best curry sauce.
Now it's a 20 minute wait for average food served by clearly unhappy staff.
Sadly I won't return.
I had a burger this very poor and cheap product.
Last week had steak and kidney pie dry over cooked very poor
Was one of my favorite places for fish and chips, however since new owners it has become one of the worst. Chips are not fresh, cod didn't have any batter and was very small even for large. Curry sauce was full of salt. The burger i ordered had no salad or sauce, just bun bread and burger. The quality control is non existent. Even the shop front is no longer clean. A complete shame was a Gem of the high street in sunninghill. Time to find a new chipie.
