Went into Nail Art to get my nails done, 2 weeks after getting my nails done, I removed the nails, when I removed them I noticed a yellowing of my nail beds, didn’t think much of it at first cause I didn’t know what to think but after a few days it started throbbing and feeling pain on my nail beds an I tried to fight it but ended up googling why my nails were yellow after having acrylics (I’ve been getting my nails done since I was 16, this had never happened to me before, now 27) most lead to infection so I went in to get check, turns out they did in face give me a fungal mail infection.
I should have walked out the minute I knew she was drilling my nail beds wrong. When I addressed the lady about her drill being to high, her response was “she needs it that high” I didn’t wanna cause commotion, so I let her be I roughed it out, she ended up cutting my But, I haven’t had my nails done in a while so I thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt.
Anyways if you know a thing or two about nails trust your gut when you know the mail tech is doing something wrong. They are suppose to be properly trained to protect you from such things. They did not. I know numerous people come here all the time an it may not have happened to them. But it happen to me. An now I can’t get nails done until I can get rid of the infection an I was told it could take months before that happens.
An no they didn’t change nail bits or anything I was aware .. should have never let them continue. But I was naive enough to let them. Which is why I gave a 2 review. 1st pic is the day I got my nails done and what they did, notice all the stuff on my fingers? 2nd and 3rd pic are after I took my nails off, third is proof of my fungal infection (cropped out my personal information) 3rd is the date and time of my visit to get my nails looked at.
Highly recommend making an appointment beforehand! They get super busy and can't always accept walk-ins, especially with parties more than 1. And MAKE SURE you are clear with your appointment and what is being done. There was a miscommunication about how many were getting full-sets in our party, so we didn't get them all done at the same time. Kelly rushed my Grandma due to the miscommunication, because she made another appointment for afterwards. Stephen (Hoa), however, is AMAZING!!! Very good at what he does! Patient and kind as well. He really listens to what you want. Definitely ask for him if you can! My group said the pedicures could use a bit more work, time, massage, wax wrapping, but the painting is good, and my lady did such a beautiful flower design!! We all had a great time and love our nails! My Grandma, unfortunately, didn't get someone with great communication skills and she ended up getting a different color than she wanted, (she wanted them to match her toes) as well as no matching design (we all asked for the same flower design). So like I said, be VERY CLEAR with what you want. But the quality of the nails are all wonderful! Great job!
Ok so iam new in town and I've tried 3 other shops and let me tell you all of them trash. Finally I found my spot. This place is the best. Steven fixed the terrible job the previous shop did without having to put a whole new set on. Iam so happy. Finally I found the place.
I went in because my usual nail place was closed. I had never been here every, and needed my acrylics redone because the polish had chipped off my thumb, the corner of that thumb also chipped off entirely, and I had to cut them down because the length was getting in the way of work.
When I went in and ask for a fill, the woman at the first nail desk told me I needed a new set because I didn't have anything on my nails. I told her that I did have acrylic and needed them done, and she tried to argue with me (while doing another person's nails) about how I didn't have anything on my nails until she asked me to show her nails up close.
Once I was told she would work on them, I was rushed to pick a color. This woman had attitude and we hurrying with the color,and then proceeded to tell me that they didn't have the color I chose and again got snippy about how I needed to chooe a color, so I went with just a blue cat eye. While she was doing my nails, she said she would give me a new set. Usually when I have been given a new set, the nail artist removed the old acrylic with a nail tip and give a new set of acrylics. This lady ground down my already funky acrylics and just slapped new tips on and put acrylic over that. While doing so, she ground into my middle finger and on my thumb she ground off my cuticle. Then I was sent to a different girl for the color.
While getting the color done, the girl who came in after me wasn't even done finding a color and she was told it didn't matter and she "needed to sit down right now" to get her nails started.
Then later when I was paying, a mother and daughter came in and her daughter wanted a 3d design and was told no, and that nobody does it anymore and to pick something else. Then while they were thinking of a different idea, they wete told that they took too long to decide and to come back.
Overall, the vibes from this place gsve me massive anxiety and the lady was really rude.

I love Steven & Kelly's work! My nails are always great, and last a long time. I have never lost one in-between fills. Plus, if you bring in a picture of an idea you might like, they will do what they can to accomplish that look. They totally take pride in their work! Definitely make an appointment. I'm actually due for a fill right now!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I felt super rushed when they weren’t busy at all. And I chose the $60 pedicure which included a massage and hot towels, she didn’t give a massage at all and then wiped my legs with the hot towels. When I told her that they were too hot, she didn’t listen and left them on. Horrible service. Will never be coming back.
Super super kind and friendly staff, but dang! Do not come in here when they are busy !! Even with an apt! I really enjoyed the experience because it kind of forced the people waiting around to talk and converse which was fun and had a laid back feel but I was bouncing around different nail technicians. They got the job done and it was good quality but took a long time. I think they were extra busy because it’s prom.
