It’s 3pm, they close at 6. I’m a walk-in.
She(tech) and another person were in the Pedi area with im assuming 2 customers. Takes a look at me and ask how she can help. I asked if anyone was avail for a gel mani and pedi? In the most rudest & unprofessional way says, “ nope not today”! With no further explanation or apologies, like she was dismissing me or something.
I read the reviews to stay away & wanted to be my own judge but now I see why! Save ur $$ & Def stay away from here..
Do not go here. They made all my mother, sister, and I bleed during our pedicures. They cut my sisters toe nails so short past the wick! She ended up with a fungal infection and LOST HER TOENAIL in a very painful way. Her toes swelled, the nail turned green, and a podiatrist had to remove it. I am assuming this was caused by unclean equipment! Literally traumatized from this event idk if I can ever go to a nail salon ever again
They're fun and do a great job!! Even my husband was in the Christmas ☃️ spirit!

I understand I arrived as a walk in to the salon just a few minutes after opening their doors, but all I wanted was to remove my gel polish. I was told they're booked and was not offered another time to come back or anything. It was almost as if the service wasn't going to make them money and it was an inconvenience.
Hannah and Sydney is always laughing while I came here always, these two are not nice people they spoke Chinese, Hannah is kinda strick the way she spoke to me she just new this place like two years , compared the old employee here. I rate this place is 1 star only.I been here in modern nails for 8 year’s but these two girls are different…..not happy at all.
Went in and asked if they accepted walk ins and the lady says "yes, what did I need" so i said a pedicure and manicure and she then says "oh no, not today. Sorry we're too busy." Why did she say yes and ask what I needed in the first place? Anyhow after reading the reviews and seeing people going to the doctors after a visit here, I am glad they said "not today".
I love this place. It has great service and a wonderful product. I got a pedicure and I’m extremely happy with the result. Normally, I would drive to Reno but now that I know about this place. I’m super happy to not make the extra drive. I’ve already booked my next appointment.
The place is just ok. We just moved to Fernley, and I’ve been wanting to get a full set of acrylic nails for a while. Decided to give Modern Nails a chance since they recently came under new management (according to their post on Facebook) the lady doing my nails used a brush that was way too big so there is still some left over acrylic on my SKIN after getting my nails done 2 days ago, she also cut my skin while filing causing some bleeding. I paid $50 for short acrylic nails with a gel polish on them. Not worth the price at all. I probably won’t be going back
