Best PlaceJuice Reviews
Had a lovely Sunday Brunch here. There is a choice of 1, 2 or 3 meats and prices were according. Opted for 2 meats with all the trimmings for 11.95. There was Roast beef, pork, turkey and ham with 3 different vegetables and roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and homemade gravy. Service is friendly and the carvery is refilled regularly so food is fresh, hot and tasty. Well recommended.
Good sized portions. Came fresh and fast. Friendly service and seemed clean. Fish and chips was huge and tasted great. Mac and cheese was great and the gammon meal as well. Also had the steak sandwich cant remember exact name but odd mix but nice. Highly recommend the halloumi top notch to share.
Went back for breakfast next morning. Good portions sizes, quick service, tasty food. Overall really nice atmosphere calm, friendly and inviting. Would highly recommend. Full credit to the staff they were more than helpful on both occasions. Right in town centre makes it easy access and fun to get a window seat and watch the chaos outside.
We went on a Sunday (July 24 2022) and cost us £8.99 with a choice of two meats each for an adult which wasn't bad. The restaurant which is upstairs (accessed by stairs or lift) has a nice atmosphere though the day we went it was hot outside and out of the many windows they have in the restaurant only a couple where open so it was quite stuffy.
The carvery itself was ok at best, it wasn't bad but nothing to shout about either. They had beef, gammon, pork and turkey but I went with turkey and pork. The yorkshire puddings where big which I really liked though I was disappointed in the stuffing which looked like it had been deep fried and there where only roasters and boiled potatoes available, no mashed potatoe! I wasn't a fan of the cabbage either which was a bit on the chewy side though everything else on my plate (the turkey, pork, roasters, gravy and even the stuffing tasted better than it looked) I enjoyed.
I'll probably try another place next time but wouldn't rule out going back if I couldn't find anywhere else and really fancied a carvery.
The worst pizza I have ever had in my life
It looked and tasted like a frozen pizza from Tesco
Was absolutely awful
The staff were lovely and the place was nice but the food let it down emensely
Visited with a group of us, ate Sunday dinner it was okay. Staff serving food are a little slow and getting served at the bar took ages. Venue is nice, loads of seating and toilets were clean, but absolutely artic. ????
went in for the carvery as we couldnt find a chip shop open near & because it was January too!
a pint of coke & lager shandy plus 2 carveries came to just short of £30,
food wasnt fab...plenty of meat which was mainly cold & veg was diabolical to be honest...roast potatoes were rock hard & nearly cold...we visited around 6pm & it seemed that the food must have been sitting there since late morning.....the stuffing was hard too but it seemed palatable for the young barman who kept picking at it & eating it as it sat in the serving station...continuously looking around to see if anyone was watching!
will not visit again
....its a shame as this could be a lovely place if only the staff cared
