Gutes etwas gehobenes Restaurant, Essen war lecker, Personal sehr freundlich, schönes Ambiente im Stil der 60ziger Jahre, Preis Leistung Verhältnisse sind okay, kann man ruhigen Gewissen empfehlen!
Superb cuisine! We ordered a family style buffet to sample several dishes and wow, every plate was delicious. This is now probably my #1 Italian restaurant in the San Fernando valley. Highly recommended.
I had lunch yesterday for first time. I can't believe this place is hiding in a big parking plaza where the AMC theater is, next to Corner Bakery. Very classic, elegant, huge restaurant!!
Food is delicious, big plate and great deals where you can take home $5 pasta with your meal. We have 1 appetizer, Lasagna, spaghetti and chocolate cake for $45!! Elaine was our waitress, she was very kind and friendly. Peach bellini drink the best! I can't wait to come back.
I love this chain and have already visited a few of their restaurants. This one in LA is no different: huge dining hall, big portions, mostly good. We shared the grilled salmon salad (way too much Parmesan), lasagna (way too much cheese on top) and a meat ball spaghetti (excellent). Kids really enjoyed their meals. The service was slower than we would have liked. Prices are reasonable.
Been going here for 10+ years. Recently had an awesome lunch with hubby (Meatball Appetizer, Maggiano's Salad, Linguine and Clams, Chicken Parmigiana). All delicious and we left very full. Good selection of wines by the glass. Great service and love the music.
If I could give 10 stars, I would do so in a heartbeat. Summary: phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere. Drop what you are doing and eat here! No disappointment!
Sampler appetizer: chef's choice. We had fried mozzarella, calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and bruchetta. The fried mozzarella was cooked to perfection. Even fry without excessive breading. The marinara dipping sauce was robust and very flavorful. Calamari also well cooked and tender. Bruchetta was refreshing and very well seasoned.
Beef tenderloin was the highlight of the night (trust me it was a close race but I had to choose 1 favorite). Cooked to perfection. Amazingly balanced portion between beef, potatoes, and fried onions. Great eaten separately but a wonderful experience when your fork has the perfect amount of each.
Lasagna: flat out yum. You can't go wrong with this classic.
Dessert sampler: the butter cake and apple crostada stole the show. Butter cake was rich, warm, and mouth watering good. Apple crostada had a wonderful soft apple filling with a crispy pastry. Topped with a gentle scoop of vanilla ice cream. The other 3 items were hard for us to agree on a rank. If you like a tiramisu with a chocolate kick, this is your dessert. Call me old fashioned but I prefer it to be more espresso flavored and less cocoa.
Service was impeccable. Traditional good customer service. Polite, welcoming, and friendly. Phil was our server today and he always made sure we were doing ok with every pass by our table. His recommendations were spot on! Chef Charlie is the most down to earth and impressive chef I have met. He personally brought our appetizer and can be seen table touching throughout service. He has a clear passion for food. We can taste it in our food and see it in his customer engagement. I love a chef that looks for feedback and wants to engage with his customers.
This restaurant prides themselves on fresh food and it is definitely fresh. Everything on our plates had a burst of flavor. No frozen or reheated food here. This is definitely top on our best restaurant list.
My favorite restaurant, the food is delicious, service is fantastic, portions are huge. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy.
Nice ambiance, food is great. Bit pricy for the portion size. Service is good too. The food kept us light. Nice collection of wine. Was busy for a Monday evening. Reservation recommended
