i wanted to do peekaboo braids and the peekaboo is not peekabooing!!! they sent me out with hide and seek braids, ABD they snatched my edges
I am a big fan of Marcia’s Hair Braiding and my hair stylist, Alicia!!!! I was here one day and there were two little girls waiting to have their hair done and evidently the parents had left the little girls to have their hair done and would return later. The hairstylist looked over the little girls as it seemed that they were not preferred as it would be less financially beneficial to them to do their hair as the price would be less. So they kept taking the adults as they came in. I was so angry with how the little girls were treated and decided that I would let them know that what they were doing was terrible and I would take my business elsewhere! Bus as I was prepared to intervene on the little girl’s behalf, Ms. Marcia herself came like Mama Bear and began to alert the staff that she saw that they were ignoring the little girls and that she wanted them accommodated that very moment. She also told them that she services families and these babies are also customers. She lastly told them that if they did not want to do little children’s hair, they are welcome to leave abs if that situation with the little girls ever happened again that they were no longer going to work for her!!! Woooohoooooo. Ms. Marcia!!!! She wa amazing. As the mother of a 9 year old little girl, I was so exceptionally impressed by Ms. Marcia and her advocacy, that my daughter, Sareena, and I are customers for life! Plus the icing on the cake, Alicia is the best hairstylist in all 5 boroughs, and have been to most!!!!! So I highly recommend Marcia’s African Hair braiding/Salon!!!

They do a wonderful job braiding my daughter hair
I got my hair braided here while my hair was short and the woman braiding it didn't seem to care how the braids came out and also seemed really annoyed with my presence in general because they were all different sizes. They started coming out without force only 3 weeks after I got them done. They were just popping off my head left and right, a waste of money.
This is the most unprofessional beauty salon that I have ever visited. I scheduled an 8:00 am appointment for braids for my mother and of course the stylist wasn't there on time. While we were waiting two other stylist almost got into a fight over parking. One stylist cursed the other and tried to close the door on her arm. Needless to say I felt uncomfortable leaving my mother there. After waiting for at least 45 minutes with no stylist, my mom decided to go somewhere else to get her hair done. Also, everyone was rude and dismissive when asked a question. Although this salon is conveniently in my neighborhood, it is not worth the aggravation.
Great stylist and braiders. Adorable prices. Offer hair with styles. Been going here for years and always a polite and friendly staff
Came here twice . They are affordable compared to most places, braid fast, and neat. My only con is whenever I bring my child here, they pressure me into adding weave. My daughter finds it to be itchy and doesn’t like it and I won’t force her to.
