Best PlaceJuice Reviews

The man who works there or manages the nail techs is very friendly. My nail tech did a really good job on the full set acrylic gel. This place has really good hand painting skills! I didn't get exactly what I actually asked for. I wanted hearts all over my nails and glitter on my ring fingers. But I think something got lost in translation. It still turned out very nice and I've gotten complements. They are holding up very nicely and I do a lot of work w my hands.
UPDATE July 28, 2022 - Skin around my nail has been in pain and inflamed for about a week now. I believe the nail bed became infected due to this manicure.
July 16, 2022 - I had such a terrible experience with Charlie I nearly got up and left half way through my nail appointment. Not to mention how unhygienic their salon is.
Charlie was disrespectful, offensive, and cursing at me when I requested my usual nail length and shape. I have never had any issues with this request previously at other salons, but Charlie was unwilling and told me how it won’t look good (mind you, these are my nails, not his and why would that matter if that’s how I like my nails done!?) He judged the pink color I chose and pointed out flaws on my hands.
On top of this he used an overused nail file on me that was so worn down it and white with old nail dust. I looked around and all the techs were reusing tools. The place was full of nail dust and totally disheveled.
I’m disgusted and will never return back. I highly recommend going elsewhere.
He over priced me for a design that wasnt worth 73$!
The line were crooked on my French tips! It was bumpy and uneven! Was really rough my on my fingers! When I asked to fix it he gave attitude and said he gave me a discount on my nails when it was supposed to be 66$ to begin with!
They can be very friendly. However I have gone to this location 3 times. My first experience- I set a 4 o’clock appointment and was not taken until 6 o’clock. Multiple people had come in after me and they were taken before me who I personally heard say they had 4:30 and 5:00 appointments. They finally took me and gave me a $5 discount. I understand businesses make mistakes and as I said the service is friendly so I gave them a second chance and got a acrylic fill. The man took me instantly as he remembered the last time I did not have a great experience. My third visit once again I was taken late. I made a 1:30 appointment. A woman came 15 minutes after me who had a 2 o’clock appointment and said to the man she has work and does not have time to wait. They took her for her pedicure and then took me around 2:10. Do not go here if you need a prompt appointment. Go here if you have time to wait and would like to make a meaning less appointment with a bit of friendliness on the side.
I love this place. They do great pedicures and manicures. I got my nails done on September 1st (a full set and pedicure). I love my set but I have one complaint. My pinky nail looks lifted up (not falling off) but angled upwards and it looks weird. The set is great other than that and my pedicure is great aswell.
I came here today and had one of the best experiences from when I walked in to when I left. The male owner is so sweet and definitely loves to get to know you and the woman workers are so sweet and love to chat and get to know you too. I love this place and will never return to another nail salon unless I move out of Rhode island. They did a wonderful job on my nails also and when I ruined my nails they were so helpful to fix them. Great place and great workers!
I had just read another review here by someone who had a very similar experience!
I like going to Magic Nails because it’s close to my home and in a good location. And they do a great job on my nails! I usually get my nails done once a month. Each time that I go to Magic Nails, they greet me by name, so they know me. I always request that my nails be done the same every time, just a full acrylic set with white tips, then a top coat. I NEVER go in for anything else. I literally get my nails done the same, every time. However, recently for the past two months - the nails have been the same -- but the price is different every time!
It seems to be getting more expensive each time that I go. Or they're stealing a few dollars here and there from me. I also want to add that I always purchase using a debit card.. so they are now always sneakily overcharging me! Now that I’ve had this issue more than once, I will no longer be a customer at Magic Nails. Gina, the owner -- and her staff could also take a few lessons in customer service. Gina is not very friendly and doesn't want to fix any issues. Even after requesting to talk with Gina, she will pass you off to a nail technician.. I'd prefer talking to the owner. Now you have an issue with a 5 YEAR CUSTOMER who is now an EX-5 year customer. To be honest, none of the nail technicians are friendly or welcoming. I’ll be looking for a new nail salon that I can be comfortable at. Been going here for we'll over 5 years but no more! I can deal with A HORRIBLE OWNER.. but with the ever changing prices, I get the feeling that Magic Nails is stealing from me and I am sick of it! Gina doesn't care about her customers. You'd think since she knows me by name, that she would be helpful? Nope! I feel bad for anyone who goes here.
I am not one to leave reviews, in fact this is my first review ever. But Magic Nails warrants this negative review after my experience with them moments ago. After my primary nail place closed, I was desperate to get my acrylics off and had no where to go. I stumbled upon this place and really wish I hadn’t. I called before walking in and they gave me a price of $17 to take my acrylics off and get some fresh regular paint. I was in! Great price I thought. However, before my nails were painted I was checked out for $24. I asked why the price had changed from on the phone to which they replied “because you got cuticles”. Not even sure what that means and I didn’t ask for anything else other than just paint and taking the acrylics off. But I said hey whatever, they obviously did something else so I would pay for it I guess. I then separately gave the woman an over 20% tip. Little did I know that I should have waited until she did the paint.
When I tell you she started painting my nails it was honestly like a preschooler did. And I hate to say that because she was actually very nice, but it was horrible. She asked me how it was and I said softly, well it kind of looks discolored. She said she would do another coat to fix it. When she told me to go dry them, I was hoping they would turn out better after they were dried. I was SO wrong. Please check pictures. There are lines, creases, and bubbles in it. Honestly I could have done a better paint job with dollar store nail polish.
I was visibly upset and quietly asked the manager for my money for the paint back. I said she could keep her tip and you could still charge me for the removal of the acrylics, but the paint was very bad and I wanted my money back. They gave me a hard time and the two girls in the back was waving me off and laughing.
Never come here seriously please do not come here!

Quick Facts About Magic Nails

Magic Nails has received a mix of positive and negative comments, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the salon. In this analysis, we will examine these comments to identify the strengths and weaknesses of Magic Nails.
Starting with the strengths, several commenters mentioned the friendliness of the staff. One customer specifically mentioned that the man who works there or manages the nail techs is very friendly. Another customer had a positive experience with the owner, Gina, and found her to be sweet and welcoming. Friendly staff can create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers, making their experience more enjoyable.
Another strength mentioned by multiple customers is the quality of the services. Some customers praised the nail technician's skill in doing a good job on their nails, particularly with full set acrylic gel and hand painting skills. Additionally, customers mentioned that their nails held up well despite doing a lot of work with their hands. These positive experiences with the quality of the services can be a major selling point for the salon and contribute to customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, some customers mentioned that they received compliments on their nails, indicating that the salon's nail designs and artistry are appreciated by others. This suggests that Magic Nails has talented nail technicians who can deliver aesthetically pleasing results.
However, despite these strengths, there are several weaknesses that were highlighted in the comments. One major weakness is the issue of unhygienic practices. One customer mentioned that the salon was full of nail dust and in a disheveled state. Another customer observed that the technicians were reusing tools, including an overused nail file. Unhygienic practices can raise concerns about the cleanliness and safety of the salon, ultimately impacting customer satisfaction and even health, as mentioned by a customer who believed their nail bed became infected due to a manicure.
Several customers also mentioned issues with punctuality and time management. One customer had to wait for more than two hours for their appointment, while others were taken late for their appointments. This lack of timeliness can be frustrating for customers, especially when they have time constraints or other commitments. It shows a lack of professionalism and can lead to negative experiences and reviews.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in pricing. One customer noticed that the price for their nails was different each time they visited the salon. This inconsistency, along with allegations of overcharging, can make customers feel distrustful and dissatisfied with the business. Additionally, a customer mentioned receiving a different price upon checkout compared to the one mentioned over the phone, leading to confusion and potential disappointment.
There were also reports of rude and disrespectful behavior from a specific nail technician named Charlie. Customers mentioned that Charlie was offensive, disrespectful, and even cursed at them when they requested a specific nail length and shape. This kind of behavior is highly unprofessional and can lead to customers feeling unwelcome and discouraged from returning to the salon.
Finally, there were complaints about poor quality of service, particularly regarding nail painting. Customers described their nails as discolored, inconsistent, and poorly done. One customer even compared the paint job to that of a preschooler. These negative experiences with the final results can be a significant drawback for the salon and can potentially lead to loss of customers.
In conclusion, Magic Nails has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the services, and the positive reception of the nail designs are among the strengths highlighted. However, the issues with unhygienic practices, punctuality, inconsistency in pricing, rude behavior from a nail technician, and poor quality of service are significant weaknesses that need to be addressed by the salon. By addressing these weaknesses and focusing on building upon their strengths, Magic Nails can work towards improving customer satisfaction and creating a positive reputation in the industry.
