I have been going to maemaes for a number of years now, I thoroughly enjoy their chicken and rice offering different levels of spice to perfection.

The staff are very friendly and are keen to show off their cooking skills with me. I’ve since been able to replicate some wonderful Afghan rice combinations with their helpful tips.

I’ve both dined in and taken away and am always impressed by the portion sizes. I personally don’t understand some of the bad reviews that it has received as I haven’t ever had a bad dish from maemaes. I look forward to my next meal there!:)

Nice food. The food was made quickly, however it wasn't that busy. The server was nice and the chef was helpful with what was to offer. The food is cheap but the quality of food is deoesnt suffer. My order was misheard but was rectified without an issue. I would recommend eating in. This place does deliver.

Average tatse, tried their pizza as well but..???? Positive thing: Not expensive food is affordable and halal you can have a regular meal.

Food is OK! the guy at the till needs help on customer service, we ordered food for 5 people and i told him to out sauces and tissues for us all, he out 1 tissue and 1 mayo sachet, the other guy was to busy eating. The owner needs to send his workers on a training or replace them.

Best chicken shop in Portsmouth! Cannot understand a single negative review due to using here for a few years now and never had anything but perfection. Makes no sense to go anywhere else when the foods this good at this price
