Amazing staff and owner, one of the few places where I trust anyone to do my nails, and one of the few places in Philly that actually use an autoclave to sanitize their tools! Extremely LGBTQ Friendly
No No No No No No No! I think the only thing that any one will find pleasure and comfort in is from the name of this place. I went here for a pedicure where three two individuals greeted me in their well expected barren shop. I can assure you that I have been to plenty of nail shops and this is the most capacious one I've been to but it lacks and sense of sanitation. Let me first begin by saying that this was during the pandemic. One of the individuals did not have on a mask, and the place and its products and seats are old filled with dust and dander. As I sat down and tried to adjust the seat it gave off a old yelling noise as if a cat had just been thrown across the room, now that I think about it I'm not even sure if the seat ever adjusted. The arm rest was filled with dirt and grime that obviously had been ignored for months on top of months and the floor next to the chairs obviously have not been mopped in some weeks.
With no cogitation of how to run a business during COVID I was greeted by a sweet woman from Cambodia who began to bring over reused filers and nail equipment from other clients. As I could tell the woman who did my feet informed me that she had just been hired in January. She cut my nails too low to the skin and left the shape of them out of kilter. Needless to say I left the place limping as one of my toes had been cut.
This place has so much potential, but the place is just trifling. The garbage tops are lined with old debris and dried up liquid waste and the nail products were topped with dust and caked up product around the nose and necks of the bottles. Now this would make sense especially since that I hope many people are not coming here. The place is just filthy and I for damn sure don't wont old products to be used on my feet that were used on other clients. What a damn shame; you all are definitely lucky I can't leave 0 stars. I am actually disgusted that I gave you my precious time for this review, but I need you all to do MUCH better and for customers to stay away! I would recommend taking "Lotus" of their name. This is not a place you can relax and feel clean at all! What a damn shame Philadelphia and South St.
You feel immediately welcomed as soon as you walk in. All the staff are very friendly and it’s a positive atmosphere. Amy was amazing! I got a wonderful pedicure and gel manicure. Even my husband had a great experience. Absolutely recommend!!!
I used to live around the corner from this place and would go regularly. The staff is always super friendly and I've always been satisfied with the services. I kind of loved that there was a little dog who walked around and the big space with lots of windows. They usually will offer you a complimentary drink, which I think is a really nice thing. I came in once several years ago after getting a manicure out in the suburbs for a Disney trip. They overstated their ability to do a design and I was pretty upset that I had spent all this money in a fancy place to get something I didn't like. I came to Lotus and showed them what was already on my nails and what I wanted and I swear this woman took like an hour to do two designs. She was so invested in it coming out perfectly and they really did! The charge was totally reasonable, too - maybe $20? Anyway, I come back here as often as possible. Ask for Virginia if you're the type of person who likes chatting with your nail technician, as she is just very personable and has some GREAT stories. Thanks, Lotus team!
This is my favorite nail salon in the city and I don’t go anywhere else now. They are so clean and professional - the entire staff is so talented. Samantha, the owner, is amazing. She’s the best! But everyone is wonderful. They make my nails look absolutely perfect - I love them.
I've only been here three times so far, but I already know I won't need to go anywhere else. The staff is so friendly, funny, and welcoming, and the prices are fair for the work that they do. Tina has done my nails the past two times I've gone, and she's kept the shape beautifully and always makes sure I sit under the light long enough so I don't screw up my new polish. Love this place so much.
