Been going here since 2 of the best barbers in the area have left the neighborhood. Service was decent pre-covid, but the quality of service is below standard. 1st issue was a tape up, and the guy in the far back gave me a skin fade. The same barber has seen me before and outside of the shop and never have i had a skin fade...
Also, this place DOES NOT wear gloves, they are going to touch your face with their bare fingers. I actually showed discomfort since I thought he was going to finger my mouth and nostrils...
No gloves, hardly any alcohol (1 spritz), and luke warm-yellow'ish wash cloths that turn cold the second they hit your face.
In closing, the guy in back can’t even do a decent dry-line up. He has no product on his vanity and has cologne mixed with tap water because he has no after shave/shaving balm…
This place is a NO GO. Maybe perfect for middle age
cab drivers...that's about it.
I always go here for a haircut, there very good at what they do and are very reasonable.

BARBER SHOP: this is a nice barber shop. the atmosphere is friendly. the prices are fair. the barbers are skilled professionals. this places is open earlier than most others They do not accept credit/debit ( u. s. dollars only). they workers keep the shop clean and orderly. there's TV to watch too while you wait.
I recommend this place. I have been getting my haircut here for a few years now. When I change hair styles they know how to do it and make it look good.
I use to go to this barber shop, however one of the guys here made other people skip me, not once but On two separate occasions.
When I asked him how many people are ahead of me he said hes full I have a long wait, so I decided to wait.
Another customer with no appointment came in asked the same Question and got placed in easy. (Hint Its not the guy in the first seat by the door.)
Apparently this guy doesn't like black folks, based upon what others have to say. I'll just take my business elsewhere. Not one penny more of my money will be spent here. I'll make sure to leave my review though.
Been going to this barbershop since I was in high school and that was since 2005-2006 that speaks volumes. I don't live in NYC anymore but anytime I visit, I return there to get right. Prices are great and I always leave feeling fresh.
By far the best barbershop in the BX been coming here for over 10 years. Ralphie, Norbi, and Carlos the absolute best
