This place is under new management! I came to get dip powder, a pedicure, and brow wax with one of the owners, Mimi, and I am NOT disappointed! I am very picky about my nails. Cuticles must be cut and polish must be neat! The salon is very clean and well kept. There is a plethora of color options. You name it they got it!
Mimi is very good at designs (see her Instagram @nailsby_mimi69). She was able to replicate exactly what I wanted. She is very meticulous, detail oriented, and cares about the quality of her work. I did not feel rushed like I normally do at these run of the mill nail salons.
If you’re in the area definitely give them a try and ask for Mimi!
DO NOT GO ! Will not go back! The dip powder makes my fresh full set feel cheap and sharp. Asked her isn’t she going to put acrylic on top, then the color? The lady said no it will be too thick. Lady went ahead and put some on after complaining how sharp they feel with just the color powder on them. She put it on then took some liquid and wiped it most off so…what was the point ? Proceeded to start my nails and start another customers… like excuse me I was here first. Came back to apologize for having me wait when I was here first.
Went back the next day because nails were itchy underneath as the glue was still visibly seen. I asked for them off and a refund she proceeded to clean the glue and talk me out of it and reshape my nails. It felt better but the time I got home, I noticed that my nails weren’t even the same shape. Didn’t notice because it was fairly dark in there.
This place charged me $80.00 for a full set for bad shaped nails and nails feel like dollar general glue ons, sharp as hell. Rushed work
Linthicum nails and spa is a great place to get manicures, pedicures, waxing, and eyelashes done. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and professional. Try it out!
Nails were done so sloppy ): zero stars if I could
Also while he was doing my nails he said $50 but once I went to pay he said $60. I said you just said $50 he said it’s $60 due to long nails these are obvious not long at all smh. Will never return.
Where do I even begin... Everything started off really well! That's why they get the 2 stars. There was a great color selection, and the pedicure went really well! In general, I was happy with the pedicure. Full disclosure - I almost never get a pedicure so I don't have a lot to base it off of, but if it was just the pedicure, I would have been happy. The MANICURE though was a horrible experience and I will never go back because of this. She ripped up my cuticles so much that I was bleeding (I actually had cuts in multiple places by the end of the manicure). She then proceeded to start painting my nails, even though the cuticles, on one finger in particular, were ACTIVELY BLEEDING. When I asked her for a tissue to stop the bleeding, she said no because my nails were wet, and continued painting (therefore, the dried blood is actually now part of my nail polish). The polish itself was not painted on well either - the polish went over my nail beds, was uneven, and in some places did not cover the tip. When I pointed this out, the solution was to file my nails more (which, by the way, she never actually asked me what shape I wanted, she just cut/filed and painted). Then I asked if the uneven painting could be fixed, and they put on another coat. This was streaky, there were spots, and I pointed it out every time and they would retry it. By the last finger, I just wanted to leave so my last finger has a little patch on it. but the extra coat of polish and gel on my fingers flooded my nail beds even more so it looks like when I painted my nails when I was 7. I was tempted to just ask them to remove it because I knew I could do a better job myself, but I didn't want them to dip my fingers in acetone considering all of the new cuts on my finger. As it was, they would spray some alcohol on my hands when they were touching things up, which I was thankful for because hopefully it will help me to not get an infection, but it burned. They were nice people, but even hours later my fingers are still stinging.
Very good experience here. Walked in on a Saturday, was welcomed right away. Ladies were very friendly and warm, the regular pedi included some massage with a scrub. The nails looks great (I got a regular mani and pedi), price was $40 for both. Please beware, they don’t allow to put tip on the card, so bring some cash. Really good experience, I loved employees attitude and helpfulness. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area.
Got a pedicure for my brothers wedding. I’ve been to many places to get pedicures. I travel often. Jimmy’s Nail & Spa went over and beyond to serve and correct any issues I’ve had. I’m a man and don’t take the best care of my feet but, with the service and knowledge that was given to me, I will now go every 3 wks. Thank you for the great service!!!
I love coming here to get my nails done! Jimmy always takes care of me and makes sure that I am happy with the way my nails look. If something is wrong, he fixes it. I have never had a bad experience here. Definitely recommend going there.

Quick Facts About Linthicum Nails & Spa

Linthicum Nails & Spa, under new management, has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the business, let's examine the comments in detail.
Starting with the positive comments, a customer praises the cleanliness and extensive color options available at the salon. They also mention Mimi, one of the owners, who is commended for being meticulous, detail-oriented, and providing high-quality work. The customer appreciates Mimi's ability to replicate their desired design and the fact that they did not feel rushed during their visit. Additionally, another customer recommends the salon, highlighting the professional and friendly staff.
On the other hand, negative comments highlight several weaknesses of Linthicum Nails & Spa. One customer expresses disappointment with their dip powder experience, stating that it made their nails feel cheap and sharp. They were also unsatisfied with the service as they felt rushed and the stylist attended to another customer before finishing their nails. The customer returned the next day with concerns about visible glue and requested to have their nails removed and receive a refund. However, they were persuaded to have their nails reshaped instead, but were ultimately dissatisfied with the shape and the overall quality of the nails. The customer felt that the rush work and sharpness of the nails did not justify the high price they paid.
Another negative comment focuses on the sloppy execution of the nails, describing the experience as zero stars if possible. The customer also mentions a discrepancy in the pricing, claiming that they were initially quoted $50 but were charged $60 due to their nails being considered long. They express their disappointment and state that they will not return to the salon.
Furthermore, a highly detailed negative comment sheds light on a terrible manicure experience. The customer describes their cuticles being ripped and bleeding during the manicure. Despite bleeding, the stylist continued to paint the customer's nails, resulting in dried blood becoming a part of the nail polish. The polish application itself was uneven and did not cover the entire nail. The customer asked for the issue to be fixed, but the salon only added more coats of polish that resulted in streaks and spots. The customer also highlights the lack of consultation regarding nail shape and the discomfort caused by the salon spraying alcohol on their wounded fingers. Although the customer acknowledges the employees' niceness, they express their ongoing dissatisfaction with the service hours after the manicure.
While positive comments emphasize the salon's cleanliness, extensive color options, and the skills of specific staff members, the negative comments reveal weaknesses such as rushed work, poor service, inconsistency in pricing, lack of attention to detail, and discomfort caused during the manicure process. These weaknesses should be addressed by the management in order to improve the overall customer experience and satisfaction.
