My nephew introduced me to this pub on the 21st December. I loved it! It was a cold frosty evening and we managed to find a table although the place was crowded. It was warm and welcoming. Fab, helpful and friendly staff with a relaxing atmosphere.

The smoking area out back is one of the best I've seen and some of the seating alcoves are actually heated.

We went there again last night but last orders were called at 21:45. Oh well, it was Christmas Eve...

Recommended.

Friendly service from beginning to the end and from all the staff including the manager. Family friendly place as we were 6 adults and a toddler. Decent lunch menu and we ordered omelette (£7.25) and cod fish cakes (£7.95). Big portion at reasonable price. Tasted great. Highly recommended on Newland Avenue.

Friendly service, good food, lovely decor. On a warm evening the outside booths are great. One of our favourite places.

Booked the function room, for a group of 25, ordered the food in advance. Was able to change anything we needed too great options for allergies and veg/vegan. Staff have been lovely, attend to us and the full pub with ease. Starters came out in a timely manner, mains took a bit longer but nothing unreasonable for our groups size, manager apologised profusely which was completely unnessiary. It was delightful and we will be back for certain

Wide range of food and drinks, friendly staff, good value for money

Love my local, a great range of beers and other drinks, with hearty food.

Currently they are having trouble with the signal on the card reader (Nov 2022), so cash as a back up is a good idea.

Another excellent meal at larkins, Kenny the chef will spoil your taste buds, and the service from the front of house team is very efficient, the bar staff are fast and knowledgeable, a great choice of beers, wines and spirits. Spoil your family to a treat
