My son always looks awesome thanks to the amazing ladies working at Kids Are In. I have never had any issues and they always do their best to accommodate him, even very short notice! Children feel so comfortable, that my picky 5 year old boy is nagging me nonstop to take him to Kids Are In every week because his stylist helps him look very handsome. If it was for him, he would get a weekly haircut! Highly recommended!!
Great haircuts for kids and very fair prices. I’ve been taking my nephew there for a while and now my daughter has her first haircut here. They gave us a certificate and lock of hair. So cute! Love this place.
I recommend doing an appointment before coming in especially if you're coming in after school. It took about an hour of waiting to get both of my kids' hair cuts. That was around 2 pm and there was only 1 lady styling another lady's hair. (Hence the 4 stars)
When it came to the hair cuts, they did an awesome job. They did exactly what I wanted for both my son and daughter. And they do wash girl's hair and they offer adult hair services. Their pricing is fair. Girls cost $15 with hair wash and boys $10.
I went in the Monday after Mother's Day.
Took my daughter today for her very first haircut, even though it was my first time and although I found this place through a google search I felt like I knew the ladies working there for years. From the moment I called to make an appointment I felt as if I was talking to someone I had known for years! I had the pleasure of working with Paola who very kindly asked what I wanted done with my 7 month olds hair, she was patient and very sweet! I left with a certificate and a very happy baby! Muchas gracias!
I don't have any complain about this place, they are all amazing ladies. I have been going there for 14 years and they have treated us with total respect and kindness. I have a 10 yr old son that had Cancer when he was three yr old and Damaris was the one that took care of him and omg she took her time with him and when he was getting upset she will stop and wait until he was OK to continue. Now he is 10 in remission but has Autism and she is the only one that can cut his hair with no problem at all. My oldest is 14 and Paula was the one that started cutting his hair and she did awesome so my oldest doesn't want to go with his dad he only comes here. He even told me that even when he gets older he will always come here because he sees men coming here. I just love the whole group. So please if you have any kind of problems with any of the ladies there, let them know and the owner will step up. Thank you for everything and thanks your staff for understanding my 10 yr old son conditions.
Amazing, the staff is very nice. I cut my son's hair there and I'm so happy. Miladis is an excellent stylish. I really recommend.????????
Horrible place. I took my baby boy about 2 weeks ago.
The lady greeted us right as we walked in, which is nice, however she sat my baby boy on a very dirty and broken chair, and proceed to trim his hair. Everything looked alright until the following day. My son's hair was chopped off in several spots, long and short everywhere on his head. I had to go to a REAL stylist to fix her mess.
This lady didnt know how to cut my son hair with siccors. I am assuming they only know how to do 1 style of hair cuts for boys, all short to the skull and using the electrical machine. Very disappointed. I should have listened to the previous bad reviews.

Quick Facts About Kids are in

Kids Are In is a hair salon that specializes in providing haircuts for children. Based on the comments provided, there are several strengths and weaknesses of this establishment.
One of the major strengths highlighted in the comments is the skill and professionalism of the staff. Multiple comments commend the stylists for their ability to give great haircuts, particularly for children. The stylists are described as being patient, accommodating, and skilled in executing the desired haircut. This is important, especially when dealing with young children who may be anxious or have specific preferences. The staff's ability to make children feel comfortable and at ease is also noted, as one parent mentions that their picky 5-year-old constantly requests to go to Kids Are In. Furthermore, the prices are considered fair by some customers, which adds to the positive experience.
The establishment's customer service is another strength that is repeatedly mentioned. Several comments express gratitude for the kind, friendly, and respectful treatment received at Kids Are In. One comment even highlights the staff's understanding of and sensitivity to the special needs of a child with autism. This indicates that the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate and make each customer feel valued.
In terms of weaknesses, one recurring complaint is the lengthy waiting time, particularly for walk-in customers. It is recommended to make an appointment to avoid long wait times, especially after school hours. One customer reported waiting for about an hour with only one stylist available, which may be frustrating for parents and children, especially if they have other commitments or time constraints. This suggests that the salon may need to better manage their scheduling to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for their customers.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is the lack of cleanliness and proper equipment. One parent complains that their child was seated on a dirty and broken chair, and the subsequent cut resulted in an uneven and messy hairstyle. This raises concerns about hygiene and the maintenance of the salon's equipment. Addressing these issues is crucial to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a good reputation.
Additionally, one customer expressed dissatisfaction with the method of hair cutting used at Kids Are In. They felt that the stylists only knew how to do one style of haircut for boys, specifically using an electric machine for short cuts. This suggests a lack of versatility in their service offerings, which may limit the options available for customers seeking different styles or lengths.
In summary, Kids Are In has strengths in terms of customer service, skillful and accommodating stylists, fair pricing, and the ability to make children feel comfortable. However, it also faces weaknesses related to long wait times, cleanliness and equipment maintenance, and limited versatility in haircut styles. Addressing these weaknesses and maintaining their strengths will be crucial for the salon's continued success and customer satisfaction.
