The food and service is so wonderful here! We were not expecting to be seated right away but we were promptly seated. The waitress, Lauren, was very pleasant, professional, and took very good care of us. She frequently stopped to assure everything was good and to see the we were satisfied with everything. Even though this place was packed, she brought our food out in less than 10 minutes from us placing the order. We were very pleased with the restaurant, the service and the food! This restaurant also has a bar and a great selection of adult beverages.
Amazing Mexican food! Great atmosphere and beautiful decorations. Waitress was so nice and kind! Food is not greasy but fresh and tasty! Great place to go with a big group of people. You can make reservations earlier. We went to eat on the Tuesday evening and it was full! If you area can of Mexican food I recommend this place! I ordered fish tacos and red cabbage salad plus sauce, and sweet red onions ( on the side) were really delicious!
This type of Mexican food is Tex Mex style. Tex Mex combines American Cooking techniques, and foods along with Mexican Cuisine.
I got the Fajitas and they were very well presented and made good too. The food tastes good and overall the vibe is right.
However, if you do not enjoy Tex Mex you won't enjoy Phil S. Cuisine.
Give it a try. It's a unique Mexican eatery we have the luxury of having here in North Alabama.
Phil’s has always been our go to Mexican Restaurant but our last two visits have not been as good. Today the chips were so greasy we had to request another basket & the 2nd basket was not any better. I ordered the medium nachos & asked for ranch dressing. I never received the dressing & no one ever stopped by to check to see if we needed anything or if everything was okay. I was able to only est two of the nachos as they were also saturated in grease! My husbands beans were not seasoned good. They were blah! He never received a refill on his water. Glass sat empty for over 1/2 the meal. I don’t think we will be back! It’s not the same as it used to be! Definitely had better!
Visiting this weekend for the Rocket City Marathon and decided to grab some take out. Had a margarita at the bar and it was very tasty. Ordered veggie fajitas and I enjoyed it. Also ordered chicken nachos, but there were only 8 nachos in the box. Very odd, but didn't notice until I got back to the hotel. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant looked nice and the bartender was very kind.
Phil Sandovals is our favorite Mexican restaurant! We try to go every week! Their fajitas are amazing! Best salsa around! Sure do love the ice cream to cool your taste buds.
Awesome mexican restaurant! Has a fun atmosphere with lots of color and mexican charm. Food was excellent, I ordered the chicken & shrimp fajitas. And we had sopapillas with ice cream for desert. Also our server Leticia did a great job! Definitely recommend this place!
