Stopped in for a Sunday lunch.
Was super easy to book a table, service was great, and the food was amazing. Not only was the pork well cooked with crispy crackling, but the trimmings were not oversights either.
The Yorkshires were amazingly fluffy, the roast potatoes were lovely and the gravy was rich and flavourful.
Oh, and the inside of the pub is beautiful.
Happy to have discovered this local gem.
I had one of my favourite meals here, the swordfish which was a special. Tonight I had a risotto which was nice (and very pretty!) but we really struggled to get drink orders fulfilled. Overall, having now been here a few times, I would say it’s a lovely place with decent food. Sometimes the food is amazing, other times it’s just okay. The staff are very friendly.

What an outstanding pub. Great location, warm and friendly staff and customers and 5 Star food as well. Went there multiple times in the week and it was always perfect with a very homely welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend the Steak & Ale and Steak & Stilton pies and the Tribute beer went down well too.
Food is just amazing. Chef is on another level, makes simple dishes look and taste extraordinary. And his special ones are always absolutely perfect. Love the risotto and salmon!
Atmosphere in the restaurant is great, food reasonably priced and waiting times are short. Always friendly and polite staff.
The best roast around by far. I’ve been here a number of times now and every time I’ve been, it’s flawless. I go with every intention of rolling out the door because I know I won’t want to leave anything on the plate. Service is fantastic too, never long before someone is catching your eye to make sure everything is okay. Sally & Patrick have smashed it out of the park!
Had a lovely meal here this evening. Restaurant was busy, but service was good, food was excellent.

Great experience during Christmas lunch with family. Nice and cosy with very friendly staff. Thank you for the quality and hearty portions which is a rarity nowadays in most places!! Looking forward to go back !!
