I contacted Kadian, due to my hair matting in big balls i was unable to untangle it , it was very very bad.
kadian gave me her time and was very very patience and helped me so much with my hair and untagled it all. kadian stayed at the hair salon till 11pm both days and gave up her bank holiday to help me.
i am so very very grateful for her and her caring nature , being so calm and saving my hair.
thank you kadian xxxx

Appalling experience. The worst haircut in my life!
Even though I had an appointment I waited 1.5 hours before anyone touched my head.
The place was not clean, toilet didn’t have soap but instead had a rather sizeable spider on the sink.
They were out of hair spray!?!
The hair colour options are very limited, one uncommon brand, and the swatch catalogue falling apart.
I don’t have difficult hair or curly hair, and I wasn’t re-styling, just tidying a cut but my haircut looks like a badly worn wig, barely has any shape. After I came home I straightened it and found so many uneven dangly bits front and back!
And I am not exaggerating, friend that I face timed asked what happened to my hair with wide eyes without any prompting!
Only positive part of this experience was that the lady cutting my hair was nice to chat to.
I don’t want a local business going bust in this economy but I really should recommend running in the opposite direction of this place if you don’t want to look like a garden gnome in your Christmas pictures.
You may get lucky if you are not there for a cut but I seriously doubt it.
I had a full head of highlights and cut and blowdry by Gemma. I have bad skin allergies and also struggle with anxiety but Gemma was amazing, listened to and did exactly what I asked and made me feel so comfortable. Unlike most hairdressers I’ve experienced, she took care of my hair condition during the bleaching process and my hair came out looking and feeling amazing. I will be returning as soon as my highlights need topping up!
Had to wait an hour and a half as it was delayed and it took slightly longer than it should have as she had to have dinner half way through but luckily I wasn't in a rush and I've had soooo many compliments on my braids.
Only thing I would recommend is calling ahead to make sure they're running on time!
:)
Absolute nightmare!

Being a student, I looked to Groupon for places that were cheap due to having only a limited budget to spend on my haircut. I now wish I had gone elsewhere as going to Hairtician's has been the worst experience i have ever had at any hairdressers! I have therefore decided to write an honest review of my experience so that I can warn others not to part with their hard earned cash at this salon in the future and to prevent others going through what I did.
I booked for a half head of highlights and a cut (something that I have had twice before at other salons with great satisfaction). When entering the salon at opening, I was immediately made to feel uncomfortable when the Hairdresser said that I was in for one colour all over but this was not correct. After a brief disagreement of what I actually asked for on the phone, she agreed that she had time to do my highlights but made me feel like an inconvenience even though it was salon error.
After 15 minutes of waiting (I was the only customer in the salon) the hairdresser asked if i'd had bleach previously to do my highlights, which I replied no. I was not given a colour chart of what colour blondes I wanted in my hair and she was adamant that I had bleach to do my previous highlights which were now growing out. I just replied that i wanted highlights that would blend with my natural hair colour (brunette). I thought she knew what she was doing (after all... she's the qualified hairdresser right?) so i allowed her to continue. I was also surprised that she didn't do a patch test on me, due to it being my first time at the salon. But I felt that she was rushing anyway to apply my foils due to dying and cutting another customers hair whist also seeing to me.
The finished result was very blonde which was not exactly what I had asked for but I decided not to be an inconvenience as she seemed so stressed so i proceeded to pay and leave.
I was in tears after I left the salon once I realised the extent to which she had ruined my hair. The highlights were thick, patchy, not to the roots of my hair and did not blend at all with the rest of my hair. Due to my distress, my mum rang up the salon on my behalf and explained politely how I felt about my hair and if there was anyway to help me fix it to how I wanted it. The response my mum got was disgraceful. It showed a total lack of respect and rudeness as the reply my mum got was blaming it entirely on me and shouting in an aggressive tone that she'd been doing this for 22 years and that I should of said something. The hairdresser then proceeded to hang up on my mum- Great customer service Hairtician's?
Consequentially, I had to go to a colour specialist salon so that they can sort out the mess which was now my hair as I had to wear a hat out in public to hide it, it really was that bad! On consultation with me, they laughed as the rubbish job she had done to my hair and the colour her bleach had turned it and described it as ''something my 10 year old could do with a home highlight kit" so I am relieved that other trained professionals think my hair was an absolute joke too.
Please use my nightmare experience to prevent others from going through the embarrassment, hassle and financial expense. This all came from trying to save some money in the first place but I will learn from my mistake. I encourage others to just go elsewhere, it just really isn't worth it, your hair is precious.
I booked my appointment for 10am and arrived a few minutes early, so didn't approach the door until shortly after 10. When I got there the shop was locked up with no one inside. A stylist arrived shortly after and the now three of us with appointments went in. I was asked what I wanted, I said I had booked in for a resytle and was told a cut was £15 while she grabbed her scissors. I said I wanted it washed and she agreed but said it would cost £35, which I said was fine. Went back to the chair and she attempted to cut my curly hair wet. Another stylist had arrived and told her to dry my hair first. She then straightened my hair and Kaidian (who I was booked in with had finally arrived by this time) told the stylist "straightening is extra". My hair was cut and after Kaidian whispered to her stylist at length my total bill was a whopping £60! Furthermore, on brushing my hair out when I got home, I found that it was layered ONLY at the back of my head, no layers on the side. This place is shocking! I will never go back there. Avoid at all costs.
Kadian did my hair in a half cornrows half weave style and it looked beautiful! She was also very friendly and the service was top notch, will definitely come again!
I have been coming to Hairticians to get my hair done by Kadian for the least six years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The services are really reasonably priced, and my hair is in much much better condition now then it was 6 years ago! Definitely recommend to everyone for cut, weave or colour!
