Friendly staff and service, it seems to be a business run by a Korean. The boss seems to be a Korean woman, but the employee seems to be Korean-Chinese.. The seasoning is red, but it is not spicy and it is delicious. Seasoned chicken looks like fresh fried chicken. However, there is no music, so it is a little too much to go out and eat alone.
And if you want original Korean style tteokbokki, it is not recommended. If you eat in the store, a 10% charge is added.
Yum! Tofu bibimbap was amazing. I barely even touched the sauce. Prices are totally reasonable, and the staff are lovely.
Will definitely be back for more!
Love their Korean food and the owner are so nice and welcoming ☺️
A small place but delicious classic Korean food. Also sells some cup noodles and snacks. It gets very busy during weekday lunchtime with the nearby arts college kids dining in.
First visit, no fuss, simple with quick service, ordered the beef bulgogi bibibombap which is a healthy rice bowl dish.
Very tasty, as I didn't want it too spicy, the friendly staff gave me soy sauce instead. Ingredients were fresh and spot on. Will visit again.
No toilets and for eat in, its 10% extra.
sweetest place! simple menu with complex and delicious flavours. staff are very welcoming and kind - we were given barley tea and kimchi on the house ❤️
I am Korean and am regular here. Love the soft tofu stew and KFC. The lady owner is lovely Korean, she reminds me of my aunt, sweet hearted.

Quick Facts About GoBong - 고봉

GoBong, or 고봉, is a Korean restaurant that has both strengths and weaknesses as described by the comments above. In this analysis, we will discuss these strengths and weaknesses in detail:
Strengths: 1. Friendly staff and service: Many customers appreciate the friendly staff and their welcoming attitude. This creates a positive dining experience and makes customers feel comfortable and satisfied. 2. Delicious food: The comments mention that the food at GoBong is delicious. The seasoned chicken is described as fresh and tasty, and the tofu bibimbap is praised for its amazing flavors. Additionally, the beef bulgogi bibimbap is said to be healthy and tasty. 3. Reasonable prices: Another strength of GoBong is its reasonable prices. Customers appreciate that the food is delicious and yet affordable. This makes it an attractive option for those looking for authentic Korean cuisine without breaking the bank. 4. Korean-owned: GoBong seems to be a business run by a Korean, with a Korean woman as the boss. This can be seen as a strength for customers seeking an authentic Korean dining experience, as it adds credibility and a sense of cultural authenticity to the restaurant.
Weaknesses: 1. Lack of music: One customer mentioned that there is no music at GoBong, which can make dining alone a little overwhelming or less enjoyable. Music can often enhance the dining experience and create a more pleasant ambiance. 2. Not recommended for original Korean-style tteokbokki: According to one comment, GoBong may not be the best choice for those specifically looking for original Korean-style tteokbokki. This suggests that their version of the dish may not live up to the expectations of some customers. 3. Additional charge for eating in-store: Another weakness mentioned in the comments is that a 10% charge is added for eating in the store. This extra charge may discourage some customers from choosing to dine in and opt for take-out instead. 4. No toilets available: The absence of toilets at GoBong is pointed out as a weakness by one customer. This can be inconvenient, especially for those who plan to have a leisurely meal or have dietary needs that may require restroom access.
Overall, GoBong has several strengths, such as friendly staff and service, delicious food, reasonable prices, and being Korean-owned. However, it also has some weaknesses, including the lack of music, the recommendation against their tteokbokki, the additional charge for eating in-store, and the absence of toilets. Despite these weaknesses, the strengths of GoBong, particularly the friendly service and delicious food, make it an attractive option for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine at affordable prices.
