Best PlaceJuice Reviews

This is a very nice and historic place in Greenville. It's off the main drag so it hasn't been run over. The food is still good as it was twenty years ago for me. I'll be back.
We stopped at this place from Oklahoma City on the way to Alabama ..
The catfish sandwich was sooooo good
My loved the burger !!
Thanks y’all
Gina xx
Gino’s is the one restaurant I have to go to whenever I’m visiting my hometown. They have provided consistent food since before I can remember. The catfish sandwich is amazing. It comes with one piece of fish, but if you ask for a large, you’ll get two. It’s not on the menu though. The coleslaw on it is the best and I always add cheese for additional flavor. Gino’s is also known for its burgers, which are great with chili and coleslaw added. The drive-through can be slow if there are several cars. However, that’s fine because I always get hot, fresh food. On my last visit, I asked if they had lemonade. The lady said yes and I ordered it. When she passed me the drink, I asked why it was pinkish. She told me it was pink lemonade. That would have been nice to know before I ordered it. There was also something floating in it, so that’s the reason for the 4 star review. Next time, I’ll just drink something at home lol.
Went based on reviews. VERY disappointed. Paid over $25 for 2 sandwiches, small fries, & 2 sodas. Hamburger tasted like premade frozen pattie. Catfish with slaw was soapy tasting. Cheap condiments & dirty tables. Won't return.
If its your first time at Gino's s you have to get either the large chili cheese and slaw burger, or a small catfish sandwich with hot sauce and tartar or platter with a side of hushpuppies. Its a delta tradition! It will not disappoint
Only place to get a great fish sandwich
Was in town traveling through and wanted something different. Gino’s was ok. Burger was ok, fries were good. Service not so good. When I ask for ketchup they gave me a (1) packet, I ask for more so she gave me another packet. Not friendly at all.
Really great food, large selection to choose from but always busy and takes a while. Worth it if you're not in a rush.

Quick Facts About Gino's Hamburgers & Catfish

Gino's Hamburgers & Catfish has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, it is described as a historic place and is located off the main drag, suggesting that it has maintained its charm and authenticity over the years. This can be seen as a strength as it sets them apart from more commercialized and crowded areas. Additionally, the food is consistently good, with multiple commenters expressing their satisfaction with the taste and quality of the dishes. This consistency is mentioned as being present even after twenty years, indicating that Gino's has managed to maintain its standard over time.
The catfish sandwich is specifically praised by multiple customers, emphasizing its taste and quality. The coleslaw on the sandwich is also mentioned as being a stand-out element, further adding to the overall positive feedback about the meal. The burger is also appreciated by some customers, with one commenter specifically mentioning their love for it. This shows that Gino's is able to cater to different tastes and preferences, offering both seafood and burger options.
The drive-through service is seen as a strength by one commenter, despite mentioning potential delays due to a high volume of cars. The fact that the food is described as hot and fresh despite the wait time suggests that Gino's ensures food quality even during peak hours. This could be seen as a sign that the staff is dedicated to providing customers with freshly prepared meals, which is an attractive quality for many.
Furthermore, Gino's is deemed a must-visit destination by one customer, indicating that it has a strong reputation within the community. This reputation is likely built on the consistent food quality and traditional dishes that are mentioned in another comment. Being a part of the local tradition can be seen as a strength for the restaurant, as it establishes a loyal customer base and can attract tourists looking for an authentic dining experience.
However, there are also weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer mentions a disappointing experience with the food, stating that the hamburger tasted like a premade frozen patty and the catfish sandwich had a soapy taste. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the food quality at times, which could impact the overall dining experience.
Another customer mentions issues with the service, specifically pointing out that they requested more ketchup and were not given an adequate amount. This lack of attentive and friendly service can be seen as a weakness, as it can negatively impact the overall dining experience and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, one customer mentions the price being high for their order, which consisted of two sandwiches, small fries, and two sodas. This suggests that Gino's may not offer the best value for money compared to other dining options in the area. The cheap condiments and dirty tables mentioned in the same comment further add to the perception of subpar dining experience.
Lastly, there is a mention of the restaurant being always busy and slow service. While this can be a testament to the popularity of Gino's and the demand for their food, it can also be seen as a weakness if customers are looking for a quick and efficient dining experience.
In conclusion, Gino's Hamburgers & Catfish has several strengths, including its historic and off-the-beaten-path location, consistent food quality, and traditional dishes that are part of the local tradition. However, there are also weaknesses highlighted in the comments, such as potential inconsistencies in food quality, issues with service, higher prices, and slow service during busy times. It is important for the restaurant to address these weaknesses in order to maintain and improve their overall reputation.
