Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Edit:
I did get this establishment confused with another I had an experience with; but I remembered the interaction with Gifted Hands, so I will just keep my review but adjust lol. I called in about getting braids done. The lady literally laughed and talked with someone else there while I was on the phone about the name/what the braids were called?? "We're calling them -- now.. haha" like who does that? 'Never seen any other Ethnicity do this, only us'. It was more of an insult than a harmless joke.
Who cares what someone identifies them as, as long as there is an understanding of what style is being asked for. I see the business wants to comment repeatedly on others telling about the experience, simply because the experience is unsatisfactory. How about taking constructive criticism, apologizing for the way the customer may have felt, and offering them to return to the oh so great establishment you want to make it seem as though you have. No 'thank you' or 'hope to see you again' to the satisfied/5 star reviews; only arguments and jabs back at the ones you don't like. Fix it.
I gave gifted hands 1 star because they certainly need to improve on their professionalism. My mother and I went to get our hair done and this is not our first time at gifted hands I am unsure what happened this last time but it was horrible. One they had my name on the board twice getting crochet braids when they should have had my name and my mother's name and what she was getting when I made the appointment weeks ago I certainly told them I was getting crochet braids and my mother was getting a full sew in weave.
The next thing is their price board they have posed they need to have a set price not a price and up that is too much room for gifted hands to put any amount on their clients and that's what they did to my mother. The stylist who did my hair quoted my mother 120.00 she then called the owner and she came back and told my mother 150.00 all the stylist had to do is tell the owner what she quoted that was the honorable thing to do.
My Mother calls the owner my mother said she talked to her very poorly very unprofessional this is the owner .
Why can't people learn to just do the right thing.
It does not matter what is said we never have to negotiate prices with any establishment we go we pay and tip. As a matter of fact I tipped my stylist she probably didn't tell you that
Her work was really good had it not I would not have tipped her it's never about the money it's the principal.
God knows what happened and if you can live with it we certainly can live with out it.
We wish you well.
For the record we were not coming back.
This is my second visit to Gifted Hands Salon and Spa. Jordan is my stylist and she is extremely kind and patient. I have a very sensitive scalp and have particular hair needs. EVERY request I made she honored with no questions or concerns. The other stylists are kind and personable. They all do high quality services and take great pride in their work.
I'm giving a 3 star rating because of the service in the beginning was unprofessional i called and was told I was being put in for 2/2/2021 for butterfly locs when I arrived at 10am i was told that my name was not in their schedule and the girl that was scheduled to do my hair did not show up to work. So Ms Pearl rescheduled me for the following week 2/9/2021 mind you I live 45 min away... but I can say Ms Pearl is amazingly talented and she deserves a staff that displays her hard drive to work and her passion. She done an amazing job on my hair and ill be back for Ms Pearl gifted hands. And the rest of the staff were extremely nice and friendly felt like I knew everyone my whole life. Love this place
PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS! Do not go here! I repeat SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! They have high turn over rates with staff and customers and constant inappropriate staff who are a reflection of the owner! Please read ALL REVIEWS! The owner is Disrespectful, A LIAR, a thief, lacks customer service skills and is HIGHLY unprofessional! LOOK AT HER COMMENTS TO UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS! LOL The owner is apparently miserable and projecting her misery on to others. The owner's customer service stinks and she should be ashamed much less adding God to her mess! Please stop disrespecting and dishonoring his name! Do better! Look at all the other horrible reviews. People are speaking candidly about how inappropriate she is. Its the truth! That speaks for itself and validates that clearly she's not a professional. Girl bye! The owner's work on my head was shoddy! I am disgusted and I should have read the reviews before giving my patronage! God bless and take care.
I would not recommend going to the school to let them do your hair! My braids are already coming out. They where really nice about fixing them but they are coming out AGAIN!!
I'm writing this review to inform other customers of the service they might receive. I set up an appointment to have a stylist do crocheted Senegalese twist on my hair. I was very professional and polite. I scheduled the appointment and when traffic was bad I called way ahead of my appointment time to inform the stylist I would be just a few minutes late. I rushed to be there in time. When I say I was late it was exactly 2 minutes late.
I went to the room where they keep the hair and picked the color and length I wanted for the style. (Hair was included in the price for the style) The young lady that did my hair was very fast. I think her name was Ebony. When she finished the style looked very bulky in the top and front. I did not realize until after I was home that she did not install crochets fully and had run out of hair. About 1/4 of my head was not completed in the back of my head. I realized the reason she'd put so many in the front and top was to cover up the spot where she did not put in any hair.
I want to say she was very skilled but it's not right to do that to a client and not even say a word about it. When I was picking the hair there were not many packs left (the color I wanted was 1B natural black) she said it would be enough to complete my hair. If she would've told me she was running out of the hair I wanted I would've paid for more or went to a Beauty Supply store to buy the kind that I wanted.
I want to say as a client I would not recommend her to anyone else because of what happened. I had more than enough money and would've happily paid for my hair to be completely done. I was not given a chance to pay more or buy more hair and I was not informed of any issues with my style. The entire lower back part of my head was left undone and I could see and feel the cornrows when I lifted my hair. There was no option to wear my hair up at all. She'd only put in 1 or 2 twists here and there to show length in the back. I know what you're thinking (why didn't I just go back and have her finish it) I was leaving town that afternoon for a trip and did not have time to drive back across town. If you need to charge more to cover the cost of hair and products please let future clients know and please don't do this to them. I doubt you would like it if you paid over $100 and someone did your hair that way. I paid $130 for crochets and $5 for what she called "feed in" hair.
This is my favorite salon in Winston! Their school is on point and the larger salon inside of Beauty World always accommodates my travel schedule. I refer the great range of services here al the time! Love gifted hands

However, the comments also highlight some weaknesses of Gifted Hands Salon & Spa. One major weakness mentioned is the unprofessionalism displayed by the staff. One commenter describes a negative experience where the owner of the salon talked to their mother poorly and unprofessionally. They also mention that the owner lacks customer service skills and is disrespectful and dishonest. This indicates a lack of professionalism and indicates poor management within the salon.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in the scheduling and appointment management. One commenter shares their experience of arriving for an appointment only to find out that their name was not in the schedule and the stylist did not show up for work. This suggests a lack of organization and communication within the salon, leading to frustration and inconvenience for the customers.
Additionally, pricing and transparency are highlighted as weaknesses in the comments. One commenter mentions that they had issues with the pricing, as the stylist quoted one price but the owner later increased it without proper communication. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in how prices are determined and communicated to the clients. Another commenter also mentions that the salon should have set prices instead of vague pricing that allows for potential price increases. This may create a lack of trust and transparency in the business.
Furthermore, some commenters express dissatisfaction with the quality of their services. One commenter mentions that their braids started coming out soon after they were done, indicating poor craftsmanship. Similarly, another commenter mentions that their crocheted Senegalese twist style was incomplete, with about a quarter of their head left undone. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and quality control within the salon.
In conclusion, Gifted Hands Salon & Spa has both strengths and weaknesses. Some of the strengths mentioned include the quality of services provided and the friendly atmosphere of the salon.
