Best chippy in the area!!
His family run the one in our estate but it's nowhere near as nice as George's.
Battered chips, thick meaty fish and curry sauce special.
Pie special gets a sausage thrown in. Partner likes the mushy peas but they add too much colour dye for me, possibly sugar too as too sweet and too green for me.
Chicken bites, fish bites, kebabs, no matter what we order, its always delish.
You can phone in and preorder to collect as its always queued out the door, that's speaks for itself as how good the food is!!
Always go there when I revist my old home town excellent and proper chips in batter awesome

My rating has to go down to 1, had burger and chips 21/09/2021 got back home to eat it looking forward to it as I was starving and usually a very nice chipshop to go to, started eating my chips and saw 2 black things what appeared to look like bugs legs on the one chip so I put that one aside,thinking it probably wasn't carried on eating my food got abit deeper into the chips and there it was a daddy long leg wing on one of my other chips! ???? took food back for a £4 refund no sorry or compensation whatsoever never eating here again!
Been going here for a long time but recently it's not so good. Had fish and chips yesterday and the batter was raw and uncooked. The chips were soggy as well.

Went there because of all the reviews and was not disappointed. George was there when we went and he is awesome. Truly loves what he does and the craft, he took good care of us, food was amazing, service was quick. The fish was sooo amazing i dont think i have ever had fish like that soo white and perfectly flaky.
