Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Great independent cafe. Friendly staff. Seats about 30 people.
Good strong coffee only £2.30, if you want another cup later on its just 90p. Standard type cooked breakfasts. Burger & chips type lunches. Sandwiches. Jacket potatoes. Omelette's. Soup.
Limited veggie & vegan options but you'll get a warm meal.
Most customers are elderly, when I go in the mornings. Not tried lunch yet. So far i can't fault service or price. Watch this space.
What a fab find this was. Fantastic breakfast, worth every penny. Staff were very nice too. Will definitely be back. Its obviously very popular as was full.
Amazing breakfast with lots of options to pick between for different size appetites. Very reasonably priced and great coffee too. First time going and will not be the last! All the staff were very friendly, accommodating and interactive with the children too. Brilliant spot for breakfast, absolutely 10/10.
First time visiting today. It was a lovely place which had a happy atmosphere. People were talking and social and were happy in the environment. There was a 30-minute wait for food, which was sad for us because we wanted try as it looked delicious. We settled for coffee and cake, which hit the spot, and then some :)
We must return for a meal soon. Can't wait.
First time we've tried this place despite saying we would for 18 months
Breakfast was excellent quality and well priced, attentive and well mannered staff.
Would definitely recommend for those passing through Newark.
Nearby parking facilities at The Wharf are only a couple minutes walk away and very reasonably priced £1.60 for 2 hours)
Proper cafe in a market town, no frills just proper food.
Dog friendly accommodating cafe opposite the Newark Castle Gardens, very friendly, good reasonable priced selection of food ????
All the sweet desserts are high recommended but rest of the food is a mistake. Sorry, I do not understand all the high rates for food.
Burger which I ordered here was actually the worst burger in whole Newark. Cold bun, cheap meat without seasoning, no sauces, poor vegetables... the same with chips, quite cold and at the end Coffee... I have no idea how they prepare it but was extreamly light with lack of taste.
Not sure if I will come there once again as Newark has a few better places than this one.

Quick Facts About Feeling Peckish

Feeling Peckish is an independent cafe that has received mostly positive feedback from customers. Its strengths include its friendly staff, good quality coffee, and a variety of food options. However, there are also some weaknesses identified, such as limited vegetarian and vegan options, a predominantly elderly customer base, and mixed reviews about the overall quality of the food.
One of the strengths of Feeling Peckish is its friendly staff. Several comments mentioned that the staff members were very nice and accommodating. This is an important aspect of a cafe as it contributes to the overall positive atmosphere and customer experience. Additionally, another strength is the good quality coffee that is offered at an affordable price. The comment specifically points out that a cup of coffee costs only £2.30 and refills are available for just 90p. This is a great deal for coffee lovers who want to enjoy multiple cups without breaking the bank.
Furthermore, the variety of food options is another strength of Feeling Peckish. The comment mentions that they offer standard cooked breakfasts, burger and chips for lunch, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, omelettes, and soup. This variety ensures that customers with different preferences and dietary restrictions can find something to enjoy. Although the comment mentions that there are limited vegetarian and vegan options, it also notes that customers can still get a warm meal. This indicates that there is some effort put into catering to these dietary preferences, even if the options are not as extensive as they could be.
Another strength of Feeling Peckish is its affordability. The comment praises the cafe for its reasonable prices and mentions that the breakfast was worth every penny. This is important as it attracts customers who are looking for good value for their money. Additionally, the comment also mentions that the cafe seems to be popular, as it was full during their visit. This indicates that the prices are competitive and appealing to customers in the area.
However, there are some weaknesses identified in the comments as well. One weakness is the limited vegetarian and vegan options. While the comment acknowledges that customers can still get a warm meal, it implies that there may not be a wide variety of choices for those with these dietary preferences. This could alienate potential customers who are specifically looking for vegetarian or vegan options.
Another weakness mentioned in the comments is the predominantly elderly customer base during mornings. Although this may not necessarily be a negative aspect, it could give the impression that the cafe may not be as welcoming to younger customers or those looking for a livelier atmosphere. This could potentially limit the target demographic and affect the overall atmosphere of the cafe.
Furthermore, there is a mixed review about the overall quality of the food. While the majority of comments praise the breakfast options and the quality of the coffee, there is one comment that highlights disappointment with the burger, chips, and coffee. The comment describes the burger as the worst in Newark, with a cold bun, cheap meat, and lacking in seasoning and sauces. The chips were also described as cold, and the coffee was characterized as light with a lack of taste. This negative review suggests that there may be inconsistency in the quality of the food and that some menu items may not meet the expectations of all customers.
In conclusion, Feeling Peckish is an independent cafe with several strengths, such as friendly staff, good quality coffee, and a variety of food options. These factors contribute to a positive overall experience for most customers. However, there are some weaknesses, including limited vegetarian and vegan options, a predominantly elderly customer base, and mixed reviews about the overall quality of the food. These weaknesses could potentially impact the cafe's appeal to a wider range of customers and their satisfaction with the dining experience.
