They are horrible!!!!I It took them 8 hours to do medium individuals, my braids were VERY heavy! I explained before they started how I wanted my hair and they quoted me $160 once they started my braids they were short then when I told them AGAIN how I wanted them they said it would be $180 my braids are to long and messy!!!! THIS IS A HORRIBLE SHOP!!!!
I called the owner to complain and she tells me not to worry they will fix it so I went to let them fix it and they let the SAME lady that messed it up fix it and she just was doing whatever she wanted to my hair!!!!
Please listen to the reviews and go to a different shop!
Despite the reviews, I scheduled an appointment, which I had to cancel. I did send a message letting them know that I had to cancel as opposed to just simply not showing up, I received several disrespectful, rude messages regarding me having to cancel. This only confirms the reviews I read as being true. I clearly dodged a bullet. Thank you Jesus!
She did a great job on my granddaughter hair. What I didn't like was the fact she requested full payment after she started her hair or she wasn't going to finish it. Payment should have been discussed prior to starting. They could use a business class and get a machine for payment.
The owner never responded to any of my text messages or my calls. I’m a hairstylist and if I’m not available I would at least let the customer know that I’m not available out no one’s available at the shop. That’s being a professional.
I have gotten my hair braided 3 times & the 3rd time was OK but not great and I never really had any problems. This time I decided to get a different style and when I say they did a HORRIBLE JOB.... I kept asking about braids and they assured me it would be right. Well IT WAS NOT.. I ask for it to be taken out and the person said its late and my husband is on his way to pick me up come back in morning and speak with manager. I called manager on my way home and explained what happen &was told to Come on morning. Get there and the service was horrible. The manager/owner did not say 1 word to me but I was then told to come back at 2:30/3 and it will be redone. I get there and they all start talking in their language and pointing at me and the 2nd person who did my hair was not there . I sat for a hour before someone started taken down my hair and this was only because I started talking loud and being rude (getting ghetto)....There was a total of 7 women there and 6 of them sat there talking and joking while this one person took my braids down and re-braided it. The young lady re-did my hair ALONE!! I was in the shop for 8 hours (2:30-10:30)

Please do not go here! I sat at this place for a hour and some change just waiting on a stylist. I had previously sent pictures of the style I wanted to the owner who then quoted me a price of $140. I called ahead of time to verify my appointment and reinerate the style in which I wanted. Needless to say I am not satisfied with my hair! Every time I go here it's always an excuse as to why my hair isn't done correctly. I asked for simple twist in the back and stitch braids across the front. The stylist gets to the front of my head and does goddess braids. I told her that's not what I asked for she began to say what I should have said instead of just correcting my hair. I told her I had pictures which I showed her before she started. Bottom line it was getting late and she really didn't feel like taking the time to do what I asked her to do. In her words it takes time. I will never spend anymore money at this salon. A big waist of time and money. Please be specific if you decide to go here apparently a pictures that is suppose to speak a thousand words failed horribly ????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????????‍♀️????
I have been a customer for over 10 years.
I have no complaints. Coumba, the owner does my hair and is awesome. I also see great work in the other ladies as well. Ask questions and have pictures, if they can't give you the style you want they will tell you. If you come in with a nasty and negative attitude, you just might get exactly what you dish out. They are there to service you and some come in with an attitude because the shop is full and they don't have an appointment or don't want to wait.
It's not fair to get mad at them because they can't envision what you want your hair to look like.
I have been there when there are kids present, shop full, on a Saturday and I still leave paying the same price, happy and in 4-5 hours.
It's all in what you make of it.
I have been to many braiders and it can be hit or miss....Express Hairbraiding has been consistent and I am satisfied and continue to go back.
I went here out of desperation because my regular girl was out of town. I only wanted 6 FEED IN braids. What I got was regular cornrows. I asked the lady about it after she did the first few braids and she hair shamed me telling me my hair wasn't "good enough" to lay down like the picture. She had to keep asking people if her parts were straight, I had to ask her to use mouse on my hair and gel to lay my edges. She acted like she did not want to do my hair at all, mind you I called ahead and made an appointment so she knew I was coming. They have terrible customer service and all around 0 knowledge of general etiquette. I would never recommend this salon.
