Best PlaceJuice Reviews
One of the most authentic places for Indian food in Slough. The menu is quite elaborate and the food is very tasty. You can ask for making it extra spicy if you prefer hot. The staff is courteous. The serving time is on a higher side so be mindful of placing the order we ahead. It can also get full during peak hours so better book a table before showing up. Overall a great experience to try in Slough for Desi flavors.
Mixed reviews as the ambience, service and starters (kebabs/tandoori) was good but the mains curries completely let us down. The curries had loads of oil floating on the top (photos provided) and we literally had to scoop it aside and use tissues to soak it up. We did offer it as improvement suggestions - time will tell if it makes a difference! Having spent over £200 for a sizeable team, we all had mixed reviews unfortunately due to the oily nature of the food.
Exotic Karahi.
not a fine dine but a Good family restaurant. Starters are better than main course.
We had:
Tandoori Chicken - good
Chicken seek - ok
Papdi Chaat - Good
Paranthas - Very Good
Non veg Platter - good
Main:
Karela Sabzi - ok
Buttler Chicken - not recommend
Kulfis - ok
A dinner to remember!!!! On the last day of 2021 we had our dinner at Exotic Karahi.
The kitchen is basically an open kitchen where you can see live cooking and those tasty tandoor starter's.
We ordered fish tikka in starter, which to our surprise passed all the expectations just like we used to have in india.
Next Murg Pujabi followed by Tandori Roti.
The murg punjabi is awesome the gravy base is not the usual onion/tomoto paste but very natural cut veggie and masalas with perfectly cooked chicken piece. Even the rotis were good.
Glad that we choose to eat here as the last of our 2021.
Wish you happy new year Exotic Karahi.
Food was good and the service. Was disappointed it wasn’t halal so had to settle for vegetarian options which was good enough and authentic punjabi having had in Punjab itself
Very tasty food with good prices, but waiting time awful, we been on Saturday in lunch time, it was only our table and one more table and we been waiting for about 75 min
I'm Polish. I like Polish cousine.
But I'm also open minded and like to try different things. We say: if you see a lot of locals in the restaurant this restaurant MUST be good. Place gets very busy so to me best is to taka away. However when we have family visitors from Poland we go here. The starters???? even before you order you get crispy thin bread and 4 sauses to that. Than what we love is Naan-bread. This is not typical naan you buy in shop. It has in menu about 15 different flavours including sweets ( naan with marzipan I think ). We take one with cheese and garlic ( we ask chef to put them both on ) amazing! I could only come here to eat naan bread.
Than main course - I don't even know the name of that dish- it's cracling on suspension frying pan dish and smells lovely ! It's chicken and occasionally you see waiter carrying that to table.
We usually take ( except naan bread and milkshake for our son ) chicken tikka masala, chicken curry and egg fried rice.
All lovely! And don't get distracted by chicken tikka - first time I said to my wife that I don't like theese indian style chicken ( tikka, tikka masala or curry )
But I turned up to be that I only tried cheap - street - fast food and in here it is like your own grandma would cook it for you. I Love chicken tikka masala !!!
But only here or other proper restaurants not retail made for. You also get long drinks, shakes, alkohol, water juices -you name it, it's all good!
Bare in mind that place get very busy and crowded especially on birthdays or other Indian ceremonies, but ok, you can order for take away.
Will be back! Thanks for lovely Indian Food! Recommend to everyone!
The food was disgusting, greasy and inedible, I have cooked for years and would never serve food looking like this to anyone. Once I had called the restaurant to get a refund she had refused to give a full refund because "its only the lamb madras that has oil in" . I understand in this tradition of cooking there is a lot of oil and butter however it was an unappetizing and unappealing amount, so much so that everything i touched was covered in oil and grease. its hospitality, people want to enjoy the food they spend their money on, so take care of people and you wont get bad reviews. She also hung up because it wasn't going her way. + looks like I'm not the only one with similar views of the food and how it was dealt with. See last photo
