Love I love Lucy?
Well here's the place to go to appreciate the iconic sassy red head that everyone sat down to watch in the 60s and 70s.BUT once you look at the menu, you'll find amazing home cooked breakfast, Premium meats and everything made from scratch. The plates in the photos are 15 inches long and as you can see piled high with a meat omelette, has browns, toast and coffee You'll have enough food for another 2-3 meals at rock bottom prices. Donna's cafe is a must go to on the weekends in Slatington.
This Cafe is what you literally call a hidden Gem. I moved to walnutport and was looking for somewhere to eat for myself and my family. We found several diners .. But nothing ever fit. Until Donna's. It's literally 2 minutes from my house tucked away behind a building where domino's is. The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. They do weekly specials.. The pricing for the food is alot cheaper then most diners. But that doesn't mean that you loose the taste of the food for the coast. Look at the pics I posted . It will leave your mouth watering. The great thing is I've traveled to Allentown, Whitehall and Bethlehem Pa and people are talking about Donna's. People travel to come to this little gem. If there was one downsize to this place is that there only open 2 days a week and till 12 in the afternoon. But that's the only thing I can say that a little negative. Which as you can see really isn't a bad thing. So remember if your reading this come stop by at Donna's and enjoy yourself a nice breakfast.
Bring your appetite. I got the country omelet and it was huge. They use these oblong plates to serve the food and when they brought it out... the egg encased the meats, and covered the plate.
The food was good, Tina, our waitress was great. You will leave full and happy for sure.
Stumbled on this little breakfast gem of a place while in the general area picking up dry cleaning. Friendly people, excellent service, delicious food and coffee! If ever near Slatington again in the morning, will definitely stop for breakfast again.
Small cash only joint. The breakfast is incredible. The portion size is twice what your used to. I had a country western omelette topped with cream beef. It had to weigh 3 pounds. Staff was friendly and the are a lot of regulars there. Family of 4 could eat here for under 30bucks. Overall a great hole in the wall to hit for breakfast or lunch. I'll be back. Maybe they will make my custom omelette one of the specials. Also the home fries! They are awesome. Fresh sliced potatoes with the skin on and perfectly crisp!
Great little place. Will def be a go too spot. Food was excellent and the people very friendly. Just moved to the area..
Large delicious portions for a terrific price. You don't wait very long for your food which comes piping hot
25min wait to place an order while being told 3 times be right with you. After order another 45min wait for the food. It was finally coming out as we were walking out.

Another strength of Donna's Cafe is its friendly staff. Multiple comments mention the friendliness and excellent service provided by the staff. This is a positive aspect as it makes the cafe easily accessible for locals. However, another comment mentions that the cafe is tucked away behind a building, which could make it less visible to potential customers. Additionally, the cafe's limited operating days (only two days a week) and hours until 12 in the afternoon could be a disadvantage for customers who prefer breakfast later in the day or during weekdays.
Despite the strengths mentioned, there are a couple of weaknesses that were highlighted in the comments. One comment mentions experiencing a 25-minute wait to place an order and another 45-minute wait for the food. This indicates that the cafe may have issues with wait times and service efficiency during busy periods. Improving service speed could enhance the overall customer experience.
