I recently moved from Washington Heights NYC and have missing my city barbershop experiences. El Gordo barbershop has been a great place for my son and I. we love getting our haircuts with Leyvis who is also the owner. for anyone looking for a good haircut, fairly priced and a great shop experience— i highly recommend this shop!
Hands down 5 star Rating! Anyone would agree if you follow my advice.. 1. Book your appointment in advance!!! Can't express this enough, No matter what day of the week. These guys are booked around the clock, however they do accept walk-ins just be warned though you maybe sitting for a long period of time to be seen. 2. Cleanliness could be better however it is a super busy barber shop and every visit I see them clean down/spray their tools between clients. 3. Now the prices are on a slightly moderate end however worth it, I have never left unhappy with my sons fades and ✂️ cuts, You pay for quality and detail. 4. Parking can be an inconvenience, the lot is very full almost every time I have gone. 5. Not just for adults, Kid friendly as well as women that I have seen getting their short cut fades here.
As for the barbers I highly recommend Levyis (owner) or Ariel (Seat#2), these guys are thorough and ask you exactly what you want and make sure you are pleased before walking out. They are also very patient with children. Any questions feel free to tag and ask me!. Definitely the best Dominican Style Barber shop in the Atlanta region!
Best barber I have had professional and communicates. Consistency is important, my haircut always looks great and they don’t push your hairline back like most other barbers ????.

I would’ve left a five star but when I walked in they asked what I needed. I said a cut and nobody wanted to cut my hair. There were 4 barbers doing nothing but sitting there. After standing there and looking who was up for the task i told them so looks like nobody wants to work today, one guy stood up up did cut my hair but I won’t be coming here again. If you gonna call yourself a barber do your job bro. Bunch of fake barbers here.
