Best PlaceJuice Reviews
It was my first time coming to this place and I loved it. Staff were really nice, respectful, dedicated, and willing to serve to the customers. My favorite part was that everyone knows what they’re doing with your hair, and you can get anything done. Also, about the process, you don’t have to call to make an appointment, you can easily arrive and annotate your name in a notebook and wait shortly prior to your process. 10/10 would recommend and will surely come back again! Great service.
I was in the area and figure I would give it a try despite the mixed reviews (seems to be a total hit or miss). I called ahead and was told walk-in only, understandable given punctuality is not one of the strengths of my culture (I am Dominican). There is plenty of parking on the lot next door. Place was easy to find (using Waze). I was greeted when I walked in and asked to put my name on the list / notebook by the reception desk / cashier. There were four ladies in front of me. I was called to wash my hair within 20 minutes, asked if interested in a deep conditioner to which I agreed. That took another 30-40 minutes as others appear to be doing the same and after rinsing the deep conditioner I was seated to get my hair blow dried. Experience was pretty much the same as every other Dominican salon. You can either bring your own products and have them use them or purchase the products they have for sale. For a Saturday afternoon I was pleased and would definitely be back if I’m in the area again.
I visited this salon just last week and I’m very happy with the service that i received.. they were able to get in on short notice and i was assisted right away. I did not get the name of who serviced me but she was quick and efficient and even gave me something to cover my ears to protect from heat when working close to them. & the owner was pleasant as well. My first experience at a salon in RI and not disappointed So overall a good experience .
& side note like most people i did my research before going and seen the negative comments in regards to chemicals being used, i was hesitant but after speaking with the salon and now having service there, I have no reason to believe in those comments. The shampoo or conditioner had no chemical scent and no hair loss has been experienced. So I’d encourage anyone interested to give them a try.
Excellent place. I went for the first time to try it out and I was very pleased with the results. I did wash, cut and dry and it was exactly what I wanted. The staff is super friendly and the prices are fair. Will definitely come back. I am making this my permanent hairdresser.
I visited Disnalda Beauty Salón; Disnalda, the owner and her staffs are very friendly and kind.
Prices are reasonable compared to Charleston. South Carolina.
Disnalda told me a color retouch was $50 dollars, I thought it was just the hair color. I to myself: it’s find because am in a city we’re more than 1,2 million people live; the inflation is higher than my hometown.
Disnalda charged me $50.00 for the color and the blowout relatively inexpensive compare to a Dominican salon in Charleston and the surrounding cities. I would’ve pay $70-$80 dollar.
Not only that Disnalda told me a Keratin treatment cost $100 dollars per onzas.
In Charleston cost the double depending the salon.
Keep the good work! ????????????????
Disnalda’s Salon is the best diverse salon in Providence. Disnalda and the ladies glam up all their clients. They do blow outs, clip extensions, bead extensions, amazing dyes and they are not scissor happy. All hair types, Dominicans, Blacks, Whites. This salon provides salon quality products, never drug store products. This is all my friends go to Salon. They are always available. If you need them early in the morning or late after your 7pm shift they accommodate you
HARD 5 Ethnic2Ethnic
If you’re a person of color with any curl in your hair from Providence, RI or surrounding areas; chances are you’ve experienced or know someone who’s been to one of the numerous Hispanic Hair + Salons that are an integral part of the fabric of the state’s capital city: The Historic “South Side”.
I have naturally curly long hair that I no longer chemically relax and doesn’t need much care but can be tricky and I am by no means good at doing or care about styling it or socializing while it’s being done. I speak Spanish but don’t enjoy talking to strangers or long & loud.
For me this place is PERFECT!! With 5 min prep you can walk in get a great wash (they offer deep cond/yes or no), you say blow dry or roller to the next available stylist, if you have a desired style, color, picture or basic description that in very bad Spanish you can show right before or after the wash-Fantastic.
…Wheather you have those things or not you can still get the full benefit of what I consider to be the best salon experience of any race, culture or Country I’ve yet to encounter. I challenge you to mention any challenges or insecurities you have and not walk out feeling better about it and life; whether you want good, bad, always funny advice, just no talk/wash/go, 2-50 small or big curls IF you feel misunderstood even slightly, just say DISANALDA…If you whisper it she will come!!!
The pleasure will be all yours and anyone within earshot-her consultations are priceless and she should charge for them like an auto insurance estimate. I had the pleasure of witnessing a color & drastic short cut consultation on my first visit that I could write a comedy sketch or great racial harmony movie about in English/Spanish. I learned more about the dangers of different hair coloring/timing/texture/processing and growth timeframe than I ever expected to because this woman really knew the different products well and cared about her clients; and if I color I would remember her advice.
…The beautiful thing is this blue eyed blonde haired long time client didn’t even need, want or ask for the consult…it was mothering
Disnalda is the best Salon I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I have supported her business since I was young. Does everything come and join the party.
