Haircut:

The haircut was a low-cut fade with half the length of hair I started with on the top. The fade and hairlines were very well done and symmetrical. A problem with a lot of barbers in the area is that they have the tendency to slant my hairlines but my barber constantly checked against the mirror to ensure that didn't happen. My main issue with the cut is that the top of my hair was not leveled properly, there was very noticeable loose ends on the top of my hair that I had to fix up at home. If he used a scissor for that patch of hair the haircut would have been perfect but he didn't use scissors, instead he tried to hover the clipper over my head. For the price, to miss something like that is fairly unacceptable but more on value below.

Time: To get a fade to look as clean as possible I prefer my barber to take his time and that's exactly what he did. He made sure the fade was even on both sides and kept the length exactly as I asked. He would occasionally get side-tracked on his phone but it wasn't for long.

Value: The cut was $25 which is pretty high when you consider that he left the top of my head uneven and with very noticeable loose ends. The thing about Rising Sun Ave is that it has a broad array of barbers of varying skill that reflect the price of their haircuts. If you go for a $5 cut, you will get a $5 cut. My $25 dollar haircut was not a $25 haircut and I will most likely not go back to this establishment for this reason alone. It's not that they cut hair horribly but they miss key details that shouldn't be missed.

Communication: As he was cutting my hair he asked me various questions to make sure that I got my haircut styled the way I wanted to which is always a plus. I'm not big on small talk and he didn't attempt to ask any mundane questions like "How was your day?" so the experience was straightforward and to the point.

Bugsy (blades) did a mermaid design on my 6 year olds undercut. She looved it I loved it. He was clear and good with his work. Asked for pictures for assurance on designe. Was comfortable and open with client. I will be coming back for my own cut and will only bring my daughter here from now on.

Very unhappy with my son's haircut. My husband drives 45mins for a decent haircut and I am always pleased when the owner cuts my son's hair. However, this time he was booked and my.husband chose Brandon. Please do not go to him if you have small children. This haircut is awful if you want to even call it a hair cut. If you do not have patience simply don't service children in your chair.

The barbers and stylists are Top of the line. I go to B. The best barber I ever had. The ladies are excellent as well. I've seen women after their appointment and their hair is impeccable. This is the barber shop and beauty parlor you should go to!!!!!

My son's and I use to get our haircuts here but not anymore. The Barber Nafi burnt my son's head along the hairline and sideburns a few times. When I texted him about it he said don't insult him and if I didn't like how he cut my son's hair then go to another barber. The female hair washers are super cool though. That's the only reason I have them 2 stars.

My husband goes to Rodney faithfully and it never fails, he be sharp. He does a great job on our sons shape ups and knows a thing or 2 about hair to keep it maintained.
