Best PlaceJuice Reviews

Disappointing visit tonight. Chips and fish were very greasy, chips were brown not their usual golden colour. Service was good, though we found one item we'd ordered was missing, but they happily added it with no complaints. Maybe just an off night as we've had better from here.
Had a large order for a work’s meeting, 24 orders to collect. It was all freshly cooked and ready bang on time! No mean feat!
Cannot fault the service, seamless and so helpful, and friendly.
Bev was so accommodating. The food was very well received by all.
Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for providing such a fantastic service.
Always a great trip here to get dinner, friendly staff, great food with loads of choice A++++
Meal deals under a fiver are good value, this place is incredible value. Batter of sausage is a bit overdone for my liking but the chips are bang on point.
Portion sizes are always on the good to too much size being one of 2 ctradutional Chip Shops in Chandlers Ford.
Normally the food is cooked fresh but the fish is not always drained of oil.
Would have scored a 4 if I had not heard " Dave, there's a customer moaning" when I came back with my pea fritter and fish. A poor way to deal with customer service.
At least it got replaced but as you can see too much food left over.
The Best Chips in Hampshire, lovely tasty chips with batter, lovely staff
Highly recommended
I travel over 5 miles just for these chips ????????
I have been a regular customer in the last half a year since I have started working in the area. Really good fish and chips and their special lunch is perfect in size and good price.
I'm just glad I had the small portion of fish and chips. As I had to get back to work for another priority job all day and all night again. But less of the winging. Fish ???? no bones. Chips look a bit sceptical but all was really really tasty and just the right amount. My ol mum at 94 years. Was right. Well done. Definitely recommend to my yard at selwoods . Thanks John.

Quick Facts About David's Fish Bar

David's Fish Bar has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the place, let's break down the comments:
Strengths: 1. Service: Multiple customers have praised the service at David's Fish Bar. They mention that the staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The employees have been described as seamless and provide a fantastic service. This is a strong point for the establishment as good customer service can greatly influence the overall experience.
2. Timeliness: One customer mentions that they had a large order for a work meeting and it was all freshly cooked and ready on time. This indicates that the restaurant is efficient in handling large orders and can deliver on time, which is commendable.
3. Value for money: Several comments indicate that the meal deals and prices at David's Fish Bar are good value for money. This is an advantage as customers appreciate affordable options, especially in a traditional chip shop setting.
4. Portion sizes: Another positive aspect highlighted by a customer is the generous portion sizes at David's Fish Bar. They mention that the sizes are on the good to too much size, which can be seen as a strength for those looking for a hearty meal.
5. Taste: Despite some negative comments, there are customers who praise the taste of the food. The chips are often mentioned as being tasty and delicious. The fact that one customer travels over 5 miles just for these chips is a testament to their quality.
Weaknesses: 1. Greasy food: One customer mentions that the chips and fish were greasy during their visit. This indicates that there might be inconsistency in the cooking process, leading to some dishes being excessively greasy. This can be seen as a weakness given that customers expect their food to be cooked to a certain standard.
2. Inconsistency in cooking: It is mentioned that the fish is not always drained of oil, suggesting that there might be a lack of attention to detail or consistency in the cooking process. This can impact the overall quality of the food and customer experience.
3. Overdone batter: A customer mentions that the batter on the sausages is overdone for their liking. This shows that there may be inconsistencies in cooking techniques resulting in some items being overcooked.
4. Missing item and customer service: One customer mentions that they found one item missing from their order. While it was added without complaints, the comment about hearing "Dave, there's a customer moaning" raises concerns about the customer service approach. This suggests that there might be room for improvement in how the staff handles customer complaints to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
5. Leftover food: One comment suggests that too much food was left over. This reflects that either portion sizes are too large for some customers or there might be issues with wastage at the establishment.
While David's Fish Bar has received positive comments regarding its service, timeliness, value for money, portion sizes, and taste, there are areas that need improvement. Specifically, addressing the inconsistent cooking process, greasy food, overdone batter, and improving customer service can help enhance the overall experience for customers. Taking these areas into consideration can help David's Fish Bar capitalize on its strengths and address its weaknesses to provide an even better dining experience.
