I really enjoyed this restaurant. The workers were very kind making me feel welcome here. I got a chicken burrito with chips and salsa and a horchata for my drink. The food was very authentic. The salsa was delicious. And they do a great job with making their horchata. Got it all for under 15 bucks. I added a receipt in the picture. I received smiles from all the workers and one came out bringing my food to me. I definitely recommend trying this place. I will be back.
I ordered a chimichunga. I've ordered this in probably 50 other Mexican restaurants and it always is served with crema and Pico de gallo. However, my chimichunga was served as a hard brick in a basket. I ordered it with carnitas, but this Mexican restaurant didn't have carnitas. I brought the brick up to the staff and was informed that this restaurant doesn't offer crema and Pico de gallo. They could have offered it as an extra, but they were rude. I won't return to this dismal place.
This place is great if you ask me, except for the long wait sometimes in the drive thru. During peak hours there is quite a wait just have some patience no need to get all crazy or to have a "Karen/Ken" moment. Can't complain about the prices either, I purchased 2 soft tacos and a garbage burrito for only $11.82. The one thing I do not appreciate is the 4% surcharge for using a credit card. It is just one of the costs of doing business. There are a lot of local small businesses that DO NOT offer a surcharge for using ATM / Credit cards because once again it is part of doing business. With the amount of traffic that Antonio's does I am very surprised they do this. If they removed the 4% credit card "penalty" I would frequent this establishment more often but they seem to have more than enough customers willing to pay the fee for the convenience of not carrying cash. But alas I am not part of the 1% financial community so I am unwilling to pay such fees often or at all. One star removed for the credit card fee.
Update: 3/6/2022
Well, technology is just finicky sometimes. The ATM/Credit card terminal at the drive-thru thru was not operational so the cashier asked non cash customers to come into the restaurant to pay. Unfortunately, I did not have cash on me. A slight inconvenience in addition to the 4% ATM/Credit card fee, ughhh. The food is still good, no complaints from me.
Took 30 plus minutes for 2 burritos to go. First time trying this place. Had I known the wait time I would much rather of gone to any other food truck located on every other street corner in town. Would have saved major time and would have had even better burritos too. The burritos were good but they ain't nothing special compared to a lot of these taco trucks around town. With so many Mexican food options around town they ain't no reason for me to go back.
I do love Antonio’s Quick Lunch food. It is very disappointing though, when you go through the drive-thru, order, pay - then don’t get something ordered. It may seem petty, but it has happened to me several times. $4.00 for Mexican Cheese on street tacos then no cheese when you get home. I guess I can just buy my own block of Mexican Cheese and add at home ????
Usually pretty good.
Occasionally the bean and cheese burrito with avocado is really sour tasting and I can’t eat it, but not always. My husband doesn’t care for this place, he doesn’t like the meat…. But he can stomach a steak burrito if I’m really wanting a bean and cheese burrito and don’t want to go on somewhere.
The fact that this place has a drive thru is really their only saving grace.
They were truly amazing! Lately the prices have raised and burritos got smaller. Tacos were my favorite but they now make the green sauce hot when it was really tastey before. Everything seems to ve slipping :(
Just moved to Yuba and my husband's coworker referred this place to us. Definitely worth coming back for which is exactly what we will do. Im a bit hard of hearing and had to ask them to repeat a bit but they were patient and polite. The food was really good and we ordered a variety of items. I loved the carne chimichunga and my chicken nachos!
